it's really chaotic but I feel like that's the point and I dig it

Reminds me a bit blues and r&b. In the end sounds like mid 90s English alternative rock scene. The vocals sound a bit strange and not clear enough, I can't understand what the singer says. I don't like the ending tension buildup of the guitar, would like it to be more dynamic, something that gives me the chills after a relaxed mood.

I call this Industrial Trap. Thanks.

soundcloud.com/warraxxx/arabic-a/s-XZMd3

I'm not a huge fan of trap but I thought this was interesting enough. The beginning was kind of slow but it became more interesting as it went on. The sample you used was alright too

I followed your soundcloud. The instrumentals and overall atmosphere is awesome. Love the dark sounds. Some of the vocals aren't totally my thing, but I dig this overall.

I dig the rhythm beat of your latest track. The singing seems off key though. I really enjoyed the aggressive flow for the rap though. Pretty nice bars, just not a huge fan of the singing.

I really like the groove. Awesome instrumental with that chaotic sample in the back. The vocals are awesome that come in as well. Great shit. Followed.

Cool font bro, but you're still kind of dryposting. Try making a longer post in the same style as your posting now, you're showing potential bro!
Boost your bass bro. Work hard on getting the EQ on the bass in that perfect 2 zones of lowwww end bass(sub) and the higher end of bass where it sits right beside the mid.
Not bad bro, but you need to Learn how to boost your bass. I can help you out quite a bit if you ask, but for now what you need to focus on is Making great bass patches. to make a beginner bass, get a defult patch in Harmor, turn the low-pass on A to 10% and 0% on B, and then turn the Sub up on both A and B, next turn on some slight distortion and then EQ the sub in the mixer up all the way.

Give me a listen, I'm going to be the next big thing.

The rules in this thread suck! of all people, i did not want to return feedback to you. sadly i feel obligated to keep that promise
i listened to new goliath. it's not bad to introduce yourself with the whole "dj dubbi exclusive" thing, it's a good way to get name recognition, but find a way to make it more unique. it sounds a bit corny
this beat isn't even that bad, but that high pitched buzz all throughout gets really tiresome. the guy counting down around 1:10 is really annoying
you have some cool sounds right after that, it might be my favorite part of the song, but the part right after literally sounds like autotuned burping. it's fucking obnoxious
the chopped up vocals could sound cool, but they hardly serve any purpose in the song. it's as if you're just throwing it in the song so you can say, "look at me, i have a mild understanding of autotune"
there are legitimately cool ideas in this song, but it's way oversaturated. pull your head out of your ass and refine your ideas.

Yeah emasculating yourself to try to fit in is a great idea...........NOT. Bro man up and stand your ground bro.

Don't drypost bro, look at how I post , I show personality, style, and suave--that's what people call the "X-Factor" no, not the show, I mean that aspect of someone's personality that flairs into fame. Try to show some personality next time bro.
Bro you look like a s0i-boi.........
>Spotify
Bro, no offence bro but spotify will destroy your career, or I should say your attempt at one before it even begins. Spotify's whole gameplan is to security steal music from artists and then when that artist disappears they rebrand the music under a new name. Basically like what the industry did with Lady GaGa but now it's spotify doing it and no one knows.

Well done, just in general. Solid flow, cool beat, funny lyrics, and catchy vibe.

I've been RECCing you but bro., You don't deserve it, you come in here just to drypost your copypasta and leave immediately. Plus Spotify bro?? Read what I said here about that.
Fix your URL bro, having it say "user_______" makes you look like an amateur, change it to your artist name.
Not bad overall, but bro heres a tip for getting your guitars to actually sound heavy:
Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive" all the way up. Turn other volume knobs down to get the loudness you want. Once you've proved you can get heavy distortion, dial things back to find the tone you want. Focus on being LOUD!! Some amps won't distort at low volumes, mainly because that's dumb as all hell LOL. If yours is like this, either just play loud or give up.

ME

>soundcloud.com/user-290537418/song-for-alaska-nights

VERY WARM, perfect description really. Put some more production into the vocals. I'm not sure what combination would sound best with the mix, but i'd start with some simple delay and reverb and move from there.

Glad to see yet another thread is being derailed by these people who don't actually like music.
I mean "i'm glad" SARCASTICALLY. I don't get the point of coming here and ruining these threads.
What could it possibly do to make you guys feel better about your shitty shitty lives.
And yes, it's clear that your lives are shitty, if they weren't you wouldn't do this to us here.

DJ Dubbi is an asshole. There's no other way to put it.
Every day. Every. Fucking. Day. He comes here and shits on all of our music.
We work hard on our craft and all he does is quickly throws a cheesy bass line over a beat.
Yet, he has the balls to tell US that our music isn't good. He has the guts to rate our music out of 10?
He can't even write a real song that isn't just a rip off of whatever thing is cool, and not done well either.
Don't let DJ Dubbi, or any of the trolls here get you down about your craft.
DJ fuckface Dubbi is just an autistic faggot who thinks shitting on peoples work is funny.
He's not trolling he's just retarded, I fucking hate him, every day he tell me my music is shitty.
I've spent half a decade perfecting my craft, and he thinks he can come along and just fuck my career up?
Fuck that.
Fuck him.
We are artists. He isn't.
Sorry for the rant.

>says "deleted song"? weird

Dryposting is posting without adding any conversation/personality to your post.
>Not mentioning his embarrassing URL
why even respond to him if you're going to leave that out?
Blah blah blah.
Bro just because your life is a joke doesn't mean a whole genre that was built on the backs of oppressed people is a joke. Have fun trying to build a career now. Oh wait, you won't, I bet you've never even stepped inside a real studio before bro. Don't lie. We all know you are one of these pathetic "bedroom" musicians. Here's a tip since you're such a beginner:
-1st buy fl studio, its all you need at 1st
-2nd make a kick/snare rythem
-invite some producers over to hang out and get them to help get a melody / bassline idea
-3rd get some studio time,
4th, get some experienced producers to work with you durring your session(s)
5th let them do whatever they want to the song to make it good.
6th DONE! you have a new song you can upload online and start blowing up.
Broooo wake up! Read what i said here about URLs.

Try to not rely on samples so much bro. The problem I have with 99% of "musicians" who sample other people's work is LONGG. The big thing is with these digital sound sampling devices, back in the day my sh!t was ANALOG bro, do you even know what analog means? Whatever, anyway these digital systems are, we are told, music mimics par excellence, able to render the whole orchestral panoply, plus all that grunts, or squeaks. The noun "sample" is, in our comodified culture,pre-fixed by the adjective free, FREE. as in STEALING. So now you're lying about being an artist and if one is to consider predicating this subject, perhaps some thinking aloud on what is not allowable auditory appropriation is to be heard.
Some of you, current and potential samplerists are confused, I KNOW you're confused, and it's about the extent to which you can legally borrow from the ingredients of other people's sonic manifestations. Is a musical property properly private, and when and how does one trespass upon it? Like myself, you may covet something similar to a particular chord played and recorded singularly well by the strings of the estimable Eastman Rochester Orchestra on a long-deleted Mercury Living Presence LP of Charles Ives' Symphony #3 and you're thinking "Oh no, welp here's another song down the DRAIN". Funny thing is you will ignore me because you're insecure. You hear me? INSECURE. Grow balls and be more like me bro.
Hmm. You seem like a copycat bro. I can't stand copycat behaviour.
Try working on your songwriting. You can't hide behind effects 24/8. DM me on soundcloud if you want legitimate help on how to write actual songs.

ME

>Jealous?
Yes, I'm very jealous of your discontinued consumer based monitors.

Blah blah blah. Those are just my casual speakers. If I'm legitimately working on music I'm in the studio. But you don't know what that's like, being in a level studio making music of your dreams... Pretty sad for you bro..Keep mixing and mastering your bedroom pop with apple earpods HAHahahaha!
Bro this is an ok demo. I don't see the point of uploading this to your bandcamp, bandcamp is for albums to sell, not throwing up every guitar riff you play. But with that being said-- keep working, that demo is ok, the guitar will sound great once it's in a fully fleshed out song. If you're looking for artists to collaborate with to finish it DM me on soundcloud or instagram. I'll take that demo and turn it into a number 1 hit!

ME

who the fuck is writing all these bullshit paragraphs

Lurk more.
Also, learn how to hide posts.

>casual speakers
That I know those speakers and know they are on Gen4 should make it obvious that my understanding goes deeper than you are projecting... but this is 4ch. Thanks for checking out my song, but I don't think your understanding of mixing is high enough to help me.

LOL ok whatever you say noobsauce, stay insecure about my level of musicianship. Keep crying in your bedroom bro.

I don't want to have to go through and do all that clicking.

Thank you for your review.
The fact is that the melody is mine, nothing is "sampled".

dubbi no one cares about your knowledge of speakers.

Good luck with your discontinued equipment and music style.

Don't lie bro, that's a bad habit.

I'm not dubbi

>still thinking thats my equipment.
Bro you're really embarrassing. Those speakers are just my casual speakers, bro I literally just have my phone with an aux cored with those speakers. Just because you use bestbuy speakers in your home-studio doesn't mean we all do. It's pretty embarrassing that you make music just in your house. Go to a studio bro.

Shut up dubbi, you're not tricking anyone.

>I don't want to have to go through and do all that clicking

Yeah his music is actual trash.

He shits on our music saying that Bedroom Pop isn't a good genre, but he makes the most boring edm in the world.

I hate him. I hate his fake-chad "man up bro" attitude. He told me in the last thread that I had a weak father figure when I was a kid, who the fuck says that?

LMAO His mixes aren't even great for the genre. Too funny. I bet he is actually the one who feels insecure.

>soundcloud.com/user-692209742/the-knight-of-venus
Intro is too long. Guitar should be warmer and wider. Drums need production, they sound very flat, should be punchy and bouncy in this setting. I waited through the whole thing for some sort of change, but it didn't come. Nothing real exciting happening here but a good place to start. Keep working on it!

I don't understand why half of the anons in these threads can't handle their shit when dubbi shit posts. Relax, you guys look just as cringy as him.

Dubbi just fuck off already, no one needs your "advice". You don't understand hip hop and IDM.

i'm pretty sure dubbi just shitposts music he doesn't even like. i bet he actually likes dadrock, but thinks shilling garbage dance music while boasting about his production techniques is funny.

pretty pathetic, especially since he's been here since 2012 or whatever.

Chill. It's my fucking music. The way I want to make it. My image. You don't like it, fine. It's not everyone's cup of tea. I don't try to make a living on it. It's a fucking way to have fun and some people do enjoy it. Not to be taken all that seriously. I'm sure your guy's music is great. What isn't great is trying to belittle another artist because you do not accept their style, sense of humor or music itself. So, get off of your high horses and live a little.

they don't look near as cringy as him. dubbi legitimately seems to be trapped in the mind of a 12 year old eternally playing halo, calling everyone else bad when his k/d spread is -15

i like it when you go into the beat itself. the sample before is cool, but you don't do much to change it or noticeably implement it in the beat so it doesn't serve much of a purpose. i really like this beat though

you spelt Jamaica wrong.

hey thanks for the feedback bro! here's my opinion on your track:
I think you could easily have a better sound if you turn these guitars up. also, I totally get that the voice standing in the back fits the shoegaze tag, although if I were you, I would sing it with a little more energy and then strip it down during the mixing process.
don't be mistaken, all around it's a great demo and the lyrics are truly great. the song itself is cool, with changes to make it breathe. congratulations for what you've already accomplished, and I hope you'll update us all on your works. cheers!

Exactly. If Dubbi really is just one person then he's fucked in the head big time. I can't remember the last time we had a full week where he didn't show up just to ruin our threads.

that's mostly from anons who can't ignore him.
i don't understand how hard it is to just filter dubbi and move on with the thread.

>they don't look near as cringy as him
Because you're one of them? lmao

I really like these threads though and will continue being active in them. My bad Yea Forums I fed the troll.

even if he's trolling it's really pathetic
you're right, people should definitely ignore him, but he's good at baiting shit conversations and keeping them going. and he does comprise a disproportionate amount of replies

if you're reading this, maybe from now on just say "fuck off" if you see dubbi and leave it at that. don't respond to him replying that he "changed the game" or is "teaching you about real music," just say fuck off and pretend he doesn't exist

soundcloud.com/bicycling/magsyra-hosta

>hypnotic, textured, techno, psychedelic,

this song could use a lot of more low-end. partly to balance you mix, but also to breathe some more life into it. feels very stale to me currently. the idea of having the vocal being the lowest thing is interesting, but I think it simply makes the song really empty.

this is also something nobody wants to hear, but i feel like the vocal performance is not very convincing to me. you sound like someone making a voice. i'd either use some more effects on it or find another way to sing. i think simply going through some heavy reverb would help with this.

i don't really understand this song though. you categorize it as triphop, but the beat is barely there. you shouldn't always follow convention, but a if this song had more convincing percussion and bass it would allow the odd melodies and midi sounds to shine.

Attached: IMG_20190630_021526.jpg (1035x1024, 497K)

Dubbi FUCK OFF.
Stop posting as dubbi haters, no one gives a shit.
Stop posting fake links as other people just to draw attention without them thinking it's you.

nah i know what you mean with the voice, i'm still working on singing with my diaphragm so a lot of my stuff rn is more like play-style singing. and i just put triphop cause idk what genre it is honestly
could you explain what you mean by more low-end though?

i like the sound of magsyra, but it gets a bit repetitive. the vox, or whatever it is, is really nice and rhythmic, but it doesn't serve much purpose contrasted against the rest of the song. it's a strong base, but i feel like there should be a lot more concrete variation on top of what you already have, something to draw more attention

Your post is the reason he keeps doing it. Stop making his shitposts a big deal. How hard is that? Apparently hard for you guys.

>could you explain what you mean by more low-end though?
You need to Learn how to boost your bass.

Confirmed dubbi

Recc. ok, I'm out.

i just messed around with the eq. that does sound better with the bass boosted actually, thanks

Why even bother then? Plus your guitars are sounding pretty weak, try distortion. PROPPER distortion. How many Distortion/Fuzz pedals are you using bro? As I said to someone earlier ITT: Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive" all the way up.
Hopefully that helps you bro.

soundcloud.com/user-345725420/gooooood

nice idea
the earth is flat sounds groovy

based

dubbi's "Blassé" music video is tight.

tracks are mastered to -14 LUFS for streaming, so the only way to get loud is to turn it up on your end. the guitars were initially louder but it ends up clashing with other instruments and takes away from the vocals. thanks for the feedback bro. i'll consider using different pedals in the future.

>ttps://soundcloud.com/user-345725420/gooooood

i really enjoyed the intro. the transition at 1:00 threw me off a bit then resolved into a cool groove at 2:00. great track.

It's not that guitars need to be louder, they just aren't sitting in a comfortable space that allows them to drive more. It's a spacial thing. Great song writing, no critique needed there.

Literally insane, the groove made me spasming.

You are trying WAYY too hard to post like me, but then again it's better than dryposting lol. But bro... Lofi?? Years ago the music industry was deregulated and lofi became a thing. So I dunno what you think you're doing by being a legit response to the things real musicians like me do to stop the degeneration of music. And for real bro, lofi? Come on......Bro, "lofi" isn't a safeword to avoid criticism on EQing and mastering. It's not just to clean up sound quality, EQ is to make space for all the elements to fit together. If multiple elements of a mix occupy similar frequency ranges and attempt to fit into the same space, the result will often sound muddy, and basically just a MESS, it doesn't sound "indie" or whatever you shmucks say its like, its just embarrassing.
Try making the audience/listeners wait for things more thsn feeding them right away. Real Ambient is about patience and Zen philosophy. Ask me for a colab if you can't figure it out on your own.

Rec

I genuinely don't understand this meme

Your beats are a big generic and I recognize the Samples. the sample sounds like it was recorded to a 15ips tape machine with a live band going straight through a console, and the drums are coming from a drum machine, synth, or stock DAW drum samples, chances are the context won’t make sense, you should always focus on that crispy sound quality bro.
In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what can I do to make these drums sound better, like they BUMP to the sample, but still stick out and hit hard?” Bro... Think about it like this, it might mean you have to be processing to the sample, or processing to the drums, or both. And generally needssome experimentation to make it BOOM in the speaker. And also mmatching the space is super key. This isn’t easy, it takes a really ADVANCED ear like mine. But if you can train yourself to listen to the ambience in the sample and recreate that ambience around the drums, but don't get confused. You follow? Next turn up the EQ low end (bass) and ta-da you're better.

Oh. Ok, I don't get how wasting his whole day writing this stuff is trolling us. Like he's talking pretty heavily about music production. How is that funny? Maybe I just don't get it.

Ok listen to this:
djdubbi.bandcamp.com/track/4d-ghosts-remix-feat-kullaxi-d3d-giotex-wagg-tuff-2

Bro...Throwing the word "Bedroom" infront of your genre isn't some sort of indie tagline. I know you fake musicians THINK it is... but.. it's not. Real guys in the industry laugh all day long at "bedroom" and "lofi" musicians. You think any real musician walks into a studio and tells the production team he's looking for a "bedroom pop" feel? absolutely NOT! If there was a dummy that ever did that they'd be thrown outta there pronto. I know you've never dealt with real industry peeps like me, and you've never even set inside a legitimate studio like I have, so this is just a word of advice to a beginner like you. Grow up and make real music .

The instruments and stems need a bit more blending but this is pretty intresting. Personally I'd also ttoggle between the wall of sound and sparse emptiness.
This pretty vibing. Idk what it is about it but its definitely intresting. I thought the intro was a lofi plate and then a beef drop/riase in fidelity but you went for a more soundscapes textural direction. I dig it
This is really fucking cool. The change to distortion is so surprising and exciting. Its opening vibes are very ethereal and wavy. I really enjoy this. The slides remind if the siren samples in hip hop club tracks but this is a usage that's very unique.

Ok maybe not jangle pop per se but definitely durutti column inspired.

The intro isn't supposed to be lo-fi. Thanks for saying you like it but it's not lo-fi. How can you think it's lo-fi? Do I just suck at production?

Not lo fi but i suppose the kind of trope where it goes from far away to up front ij the mix. If that makes sense. Not lofi

holy FUCK. for real?

keep it up man, i really really like your covers man, people who browse Yea Forums dont say they have a studio btw

yeah whatever you say dubbi

Idk it means different shit to different producers. There's obviously an aesthetic of lofi and that has been used to reference anything from soft sound delay drenched music to unfixed raw sounds, its rarely used to reference lo fidelity recording equipment . unless you use tape to tape.

I meant i thought there would be a shift in dynamic. That is the simplest way I can put it.

Soooo I feel like you’re not projecting enough in your singing. You’re singing quietly into the microphone and drowning it in effects. Other than that, I dig it. Super cool. I just feel like it’s more productive on this thread to give people something they should work on. You’re headed in a cool direction.
Okay, so this is cool, but it just doesn’t have the climax/resolve that most people crave in music. There needs to be some build or transition. Unless it’s going over my head? I think this is more of a (REALLY GOOD) concept rather than a completed song.

soundcloud.com/genepurses/sex-in-my-head

That’s mine! I own a lot of synthesizers so normally I layer a lot of shit, but this song is super stripped down. It’s got female vocals guitar organ and drum beat. I did everything but the guitar solo.

Forgot the cover art.

Attached: 0D20F611-D94A-471B-A7EF-7CE6193C5A70.jpg (600x600, 52K)

I really like it! I could take a bath or meditate to it, but it doesn’t really have a lot of build and resolve. I’m pretty sure that’s not what you were going for with this, though. The production is cool! The voicey sounding synth doesn’t fit with the other tones going on. At least in my opinion. It just stands out in a weird way. I think that synth part on a different patch/tone/different effects would be better.
Here’s mine. With mine, I tried Landr for the first time to master it, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I had a lot of automation, and it turned all of my fades and shit to the same volume level as everything else. The mix I had was originally better than what the final product is.

Yeah it's supposed to stand out, you know what a lead synth is? As in it leads the song, so it's supposed to be in front taking the rest of the song with it. I know maybe that's too advanced but oh well.

I know what a lead synth is. I own over five synthesizers. It’s just not the right tone for the rest of the song. It doesn’t stand out in the right way. Of course it’s supposed to be at the front of the mix. I didn’t say that was the problem.use a different patch. Something vintage, warm, and fuzzy maybe. Idk. It’s stale.

Can anyone give me some feedback on how to improve my singing?

Thank you! I originally wanted to do vocals in the manner of the choir but kept the choir instead. Thank you ,

Are you using a real synth or a midi controller?

Ahhh okay. That makes more sense. I thought the other person who responded to me was you. Sorry about that. I think I different warmer sounding synth lead would feel really good with it.

>cookie cutter edm
soundcloud.com/halpmeplox/ore-al-ahl-oud
thoughts?

That's the same thing. Don't start this dubbi-posting bullshit of "DAWs aren't real instruments"

It’s hard to give feedback on something that’s auto tuned. From what I can hear, it sounds fine. I’d drop the auto tune.

No autotune.

Okay, but you can’t say it’s the same thing. I totally use daw templates and effects on my synths. But as far as a lead goes, plugging a synth directly in has a warmth that comes with the high impedance and tubes if you’ve got em. If you can’t gear the difference between a midi controller and genuine instrument, you need to work on your ear. Even better if you can mic a tube amp. How old are you? I’m gonna be super surprised if you’re older than me. I’ve composed electronic shit in addition to organic shit. Everything has a time and a place. I don’t think full daw instruments are bad in the background/supporting the main shit going on, but you need to have something organic to make it stand out whether it’s the bass/synth/guitar/vocals.

Lol did I click the wrong link? I think I fucked up then. Which one is yours?

I wouldn't start the song with the kick

That wasn't me, there is very slight autotune, it's practically dry, I wasn't sure if it sounded better with or without it.

Honestly, you’re your own worst critic. People are going to enjoy your voice more if it’s more human.

Ok singing tips from what i hear. Try singing in different ways. Less vocal push. I can tell ur pushing it a bit harder than needed. Softer vowels. Shorter constanents. Since you are singing and rapping think its a place between rhythmic rapping and what you do in the hook.
It should as pushed as ur rapping. That way wheb u want to belt it out for the last chorus it would have ALOT more umph

I'd work on rhythm first, once you get your rhythm down you can work on your voice, as seen by todays rap "elites" you can have a shitty voice and be successful as long as you have a nice rhythm to the way you speak.

I needed to make it obvious I was brown lol

Alright thanks man I'll definitely work on that

Wdym about pushing when I'm rapping?

I hear your cadence. And its punchy as opposed to flowing. That punchiness bleeds into ur singing. Not uncommon at all. Just singing don't got to have that same enetgy as when u rap. Find a place between singing and rapping. Idk how else to explain it

You know it's the weirdest thing that you said find a place between singing and rap, because I make rap and r&b, I only recently saw a guy in these threads who combined them and made melodic rap. I'm still learning but what you're talking about is exactly what I'm trying to achieve.

MAY SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER SHILLTHREAD ALREADY? I feel like this has gone on long enough.

So try this , practice using less of ur breath this will force u to go lighter vocally but you'll have more control. I use to sing very chest heavy and bellowing. Even when I wanted to sing higher id belt higher. When its sometimes the opposite. Singing lighter when u want to hit higher notes gives alot more control and sounds in groove. That's what i meant bout vowels and consonants; you cannot sing consonants without it popping on the mic, vowels are were the key is most clear. Empathize the consonant and lighter on the vowels. So when ur voice would go higher sing lighter or vice versa. Experiment with this.
