Mfw solo Morrissey is objectively better than the Smiths

What sort of stuff are you into? I usually suggest Bona Drag for people to get a good idea of Morrisey, Southpaw Grammar for the rock opera fans, Vauxhall And I for the emotional type, Your Arsenal for the David Bowie fan ect.

Johnny was the most talented guitarist in the band, not the most talented member however, he admitted Mike Joyce as being more musically experienced than he was at the time, by now he's surpassed him
That aside, The Smiths would have been nothing without Morrissey's input, his influences were incredibly based (T. Rex, David Bowie, Jobriath, ect) and he took plenty of inspiration when working with Johnny to compose the music, the reason The Smiths sounded like nothing else coming out at the time and the reason they're timeless now is half due to Morrissey, half due to Johnny
Johnny is the best guitarist on the face of the planet and deserves every bit of praise he gets though

Personally I think Johnny's most recent material is solid and ever so slightly better than Morrissey's most recent releases, Johnny's still an incredible musician and a competent writer

Johnny still has incredible charisma and the best stage presence of any guitarist today, seeing Johnny live is a lot better than seeing Moz live, and I say that loving Moz to pieces

Moz unironically looks better, and age has not been kind the man

Rourke was with The Pretenders for a little while until making a band called D.A.R.K, so not very successful overall, plus the whole heroin thing probably made him undesirable for most bands
Mike played with Morrissey for some of the Viva Hate sessions and live shows but shortly moved on after that, now he's just swimming in cash from Moz's lawsuit

You'd think from their group photos and whatnot that Mike would be the one doing heroine.
