Used to dislike it for being too "soft", but when it finally clicked it blew my mind. Literally listened to it on repeat for a whole week.
It's so insanely detailed that keep finding new things with each listen, no wonder it took her so long to finish it.
Also the title track is her most intense since "violin" but actually good, "joanni" is probably the weakest but still a damn good song.

Obvious bait but I'll bite.
This is a music board, no one cares about looks as long as the music is good, and Kates music is god tier.
You can make a whole pop album just ripping off parts of "The Kick Inside" (the song), and she wrote that as a teen. How she managed to put so many hooks on a 3 minute song is mindblowing to say the least.
Back on topic. Am I the only one that considers Never For Ever her best sounding album, have her early stuff on vinyl and that one always sticks out

If it wasn't for parts of side B and the backing band I would enjoy it more. Still has some of her GOAT songs and is a good listen.
Heard that the new remastered version gives it a whole new life, but didn't get a chance to listen to it yet
