Why is rainbow the best heavy metal band ever and why is rainbow rising the best heavy metal album ever
Because Blackmore + Dio
Based
I totally agree. My favorite song is the Temple of the King.
It’s not even the best Rainbow album.
it's tame music for boomers who think anything extreme is "too loud" and can only process pentatonics and power metal vocals. it's Elton John of metal, even the name Rainbow hints at it.
I can't understand what you just said, I don't understand faggot.
that's not S/T
this
This thread is based
Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie James dio are so based
because you're 12
You aren’t?
Faggots like you who think real metal only started with extreme shit are the cancer of the fanbase. Go listen to Bathory again.
Extreme metal is a live genre at its core. You go see the bands and mosh, but it doesn't make sense to listen to the albums.
>rainbow
>extreme metal
Lol it’s heavy metal not fucking thrash
Its one hell of a banger. Run With the Wolf is probably the best on the Album, but Catch the Rainbow is probably their best song overall.
>run with wolf is best
Don’t you mean stargazer?
Nope
Did you even read the post you were replying to?
I found Rising rather bland compared with Sad Wings, its 1976 contemporary.
Richie Blackmore's Rainbow
Meltdown [1970s]
Why even post this faggot? Everyone knows that the critics at the time were on punk's nutsack and they were the avowed enemy of the prog crowd.
Sad wings is based af the vocals are too damn good
most Rainbow albums had a couple of pretty good songs and the rest all filler. For this one it's Stargazer, A Light in the Black, and Starstruck. For me their best album all the way through was Long Live Rock 'N' Roll. They pretty much sucked ass after Dio left though.
Until most of the punks grew up and started doing prog-like stuff anyway.
Because they made catchy yet patrician Hard Rock only rivaled by the likes of Blue Oyster Cult and Black Sabbath.
^That. Shows how little so-called critics understood about punk anyway. Greg Lake was closer to the truth when he said "What's the big deal with punk? We all did the same thing when we were kids. We all smashed our guitars and spit at people. Then as we grew up we became actually interested in making music."
Much more inspired instrumentals as well. The band on Rising feels kind of meh.
It's fun. I'm not saying the critics of the time were right (they weren't) but it's still fun
