Nah man, adolescence is gone and so are our dreams
WISH WE COULD TURN BACK TIME
TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS
it's moving hehe
>being adolescent in 2009
zoomers....
i was going through puberty and i was already here ;)
Not really, I don't know what you consider to be starting point of gen x
Kino.
I got my what.cd pass in 2009. I miss those days.
born between mid60s - early 80s is 'gen x'
Yeah my mistake, I meant gen Z
>2009
>being in college listening to AnCo, VamWeek, DirPro and others
I miss those days bros
1996/7 onwards is z. some people say 95, canada seems to go as early as 93, but their whole thing is different anyway ('children of baby boomers' went straight into generation z, no 'millennials')
2002+ are zoomers.
haha no, it definitely starts at 97 at the latest. sorry kiddo
This guy was a big deal for whatever reason and HIPSTERRUNOFF was great.
Why would you want to be back there?
All the music from that year (and music made since then by your favorite bands) is also available and easier to listen to now.
things i completely forgot about youtube.com
better times man
UP ALL NIGHT
I SHIVER WITH DELIGHT
>easier to listen to now
i mean, i had the files then and i have the files now. nothing has changed about the ease of access in that regard. and if anything, it's harder now to find 'good' music than it used to be
>i mean
you mean? oh good i thought you were saying something you didn't mean
yeah but you can be at someones house you just met and have the whole anco discography on their phone as well via spotify
Just googled it, you're right. My bad.
except for ODDSAC. also, why would i be at someone's house that i JUST met, and then proceed to play animal collective for them?
you just met on tinder and you're listening to music and you make a recc of what to put on
i've done this tons of times (not anco though because that'd be pretty pleb)
i guess, if the tinder date is into it. but i also wouldn't just throw anco on if they're not already into them. and if they WERE already into them, then they'd have anco stuff already regardless. and idk, i'd rather pick something from their record collection than put on spotify if music is happening. not to mention, back then i used to carry around an ipod, so things would still be just as 'readily available'
well how would you have played your ipod there and why would you carry it inside their house?
girls love guys who expose them to good new music and in 2019 most tinder meetups at their place youll be listening via spotify not vinyl...
i was only 10 years old in 2009 but my dog was a puppy then so thats enough of a reason to back i guess
the cutoff for millenials is remembering 9/11. i was born in 1999 and dont remember anything so i thinkg 97 or 98 is a pretty good cutoff point.
i think about my youth and realize that as much fun as it was playing Call of Duty on Xbox live with all my budz, i probably could have spent my time doing something more productive than getting angry about people who use grenade-launcher attachments.
in this scenario you're playing it on a phone, so likely there's an aux chord involved, and you can definitely plug ipods into aux chords, and most people had ihomes or somesuch thing in 2009. And i pretty much always had my ipod classic in my pocket right up until i lost it around 2013 or 14.
As for your comment about 'most tinder dates', most of the girls i've met through tinder have been fairly into music and had pretty decent record collections of their own (or we specifically meet up to listen to records in the first place and i bring stuff along), maybe that's more common in LA but i think it's just the people i gravitate towards. And yes, obviously you can show people new music, but it really all depends on what you know about their tastes anyways.
>plug ipods into aux chords
meant the other way around, brain is fucked today
