Now that the dust has settled
Is this the greatest prog epic ever?
Now that the dust has settled
Not even fucking close.
And the meek shall inherit the earth
AND IT'S HEY BABE
What’s better?
>not pic rel
yikes!
>covers two albums
>not even same song
That is the worst of Rush’s epics.
WE'VE TAKEN CARE OF EVERYTHING
THE WORDS YOU READ
THE SONGS YOU SING
THE PICTURES THAT GIVE PLEASURE TO YOUR EYES
This is the most overrated rush album.
YIKES
>Now that the dust has settled
user its been over 40 years since the album released
The track to track quality isn’t consistent.
If anything is super underrated the B side is full of classics, something for nothing, passage to Bangkok, twilight zone
obviously yes claims the title of having several of the best prog epics.
the whole 2112 track isnt even good. Just the temples of syrinx part. Fountain of Lamneth is better throughout than 2112.
Why is Rush so underrated?
Because music critics AND mainstream never accepted them. Just canada and their own bubble of rush fans
A Passage to Bangkok is the only objectively good song on side B. The Twilight Zone is pretty good, but not great. The other three tracks are trash quite frankly.
>picks part 2 of all parts
I don’t usually tell people when their taste is shit, but yours definitely is. Lamneth isn’t better than 2112, but it is better than Hemispheres.
Supper's Ready
Everything about Yes is boring and empty.
I like the whole track, but I agree that the Temples Of Syrinx part is the best. It fucking jams.
>genesis
No man, Pink Floyd, end of conversation.
Let me rank the Rush albums I've listened to in order from best to worst. Grace Under Pressure > Moving Pictures > Permanent Waves > Hemispheres > Farewell to Kings > Presto > Power Windows > Singals > Caress of Steel > Fly by Night > Hold Your Fire > 2112
Only further solidifying your shit taste.
Lamneth isn’t that good, it presents its story too metal, necromancer is objectively a top 5 rush song
Can't tell if this is mega based or retarded
2112 is beyond overrated. sorry
All of those albums range from great to ok, aside from hold your fire and 2112. I dont like those 2 albums at all
Also, Close to the Edge is debateably better.
>beyond overrated
>an album that would either kill or sav rush
>overrated
Honestly 2112 is the greatest prog song of all time
>too metal
Is this a problem for you because it’s not proggy enough?
Reminder that without 2112 we wouldn’t have moving pictures and yyz
Album, sure. The track itself is one of the greatest works of music from at least the ‘70s.
>this album was popular
>therefore it is good
I'm talking about the album as a whole, but 2112 is also overrated. Just play until temple of syrinx ends, and your good
Lamneth just wasn’t prog, it was heavy metal, it had a story but it just didn’t make sense, it wasn’t a unique song, it didn’t have anything that made it different from the rest of caress of steel, that’s why the necromancer remains as a top 5 rush song, they could have skipped lamneth And I don’t think we would care
Weird take, friend.
>he doesn’t think discovery or finale is better
ATTENTION ALL PLANETS OF THE SOLAR FEDERATION
WE HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL
The best part is inarguably part 6.
Close to the Edge is the best prog album imo. Then Animals by Floyd, then 2112.
Ew
A farewell to kings is better than 2112, so no
here's an underrated pick
Nah
holy fuck what a pleb opinion, poseeeeer!
What makes you think that?
Hemispheres > The Fountain of Lamneth > 2112
this but for rush. I've listened to hemispheres twice and found it both times boring and unappealing
The way my brain processes sonic exposure.
Lessons is awesome
>Liking that 20 minute bullshit
The only good thing about Power Windows is the cover art.
>he doesn’t like manhattan project
Yikes
Starless.
It's a better prog epic and it has more moods and it's funner.
If a prog epic counts at 12 minutes long then this is inarguably the best one.
this
lol wat
Garbage opinion
The only redeeming thing about Pink Floyd is that they gave us Porcupine Tree.
Close to the Edge is undeniably better.
Based. Temples of Syrinx is the best song Rush ever did, too bad the rest of the album is meandering bullshit.
Imagine having opinions like this
Supper's Ready is the best though
Correct ones?
no
Ironically Geddy Lee said they never really got accepted in Canada until they had some success in the U.S.
that and close to the edge
Stop posting forever.
lmao
*blocks your path*
*cough* Polygondwanaland *cough*
Based
Further proof that canadians are gay
>*squeals in metal and gears*
