Sgt Pepper.
Those are the most overrated albums of all time.
Revolver shits on both.
Obviously Pet Sounds, it doesn't have a single bad track, where Sgt Peppers has at least two

Here's my take: I recommend Sgt. Pepper as a greater achievement, but on any random day of the year, I'd probably rather listen to Pet Sounds.
>Granny shit and Indian garbage and circus trash
Or
>pop masterpiece
Wow really hard huh
Anybody saying Pet Sounds is better is definitely a burger
Gotta give it to Pet Sounds, but Revolver/MMT/White Album would have won if they were options.
I'm brazillian and Pet Sounds is eons better
Pet Sounds. The Beatles were a great band but completely incapable of putting out a perfect album whereas The Beach Boys have several.
Pet sounds obviously. It's just so damn gud.
dude india vs dude surfrock
yeah nah i'll pass
>dude india vs dude surfrock
Have you listened to either of these albums?
LARP. Brazilians don't have a good enough vocabulary to use words like 'eons'
yeah and that is what they are. now shoo shoo
name one Beach Boys album you consider perfect and why.
>1 Indian influenced song
>0 surf rock songs
brilliant.
Indian influenced song
are you stupid
I never understood the appeal of Sgt. Pepper's. Is it remembered solely for it's influence? Pet Sounds all the way desu
Pet Sounds for the complex compositions and emotional, self-conscious lyrical themes.
Proto Pet Sounds was pretty good too
>Sloop John B
>emotional, self conscious
Yeah I agree with this one
Fred Durst shits on both you pleyboys.
pet sounds hands down. It doesnt have any weak tracks where as sgt has a few
>time to log on and debate about 60s pop music for teen girls
Surf's Up
A cover song in the middle of the album centered around the line "I want to go home" not long after Brian quit touring due to a severe mental illness.
one is like having anal with no condom and the other one is like anal but without lube
Sometimes I want to strangle you stupid zoomers.
>60s pop music for teen girls
Does not describe The Beatles or The Beach Boys at all. Remove yourself from the gene pool.
The Beach Boys and The Kinks were way better than The Beatles
Sgt Pepper is like the 4th best beatles album.
Smile > Revolver > Pet Sounds > Pepper
Pet sounds
Lol
doesn't matter because surf's up shits on both of those
YLYL thread?
The Beatles were really dumb not placing strawberry fields and penny lane on the album
Pet Sounds is the greatest piece of American music ever made. I feel proud to say it came from my country.
Beach Boys and Kinks didn't released half of the masterpiece Beatles did so no they are not even close.
Better a burger than a bong
>surfrock
>im proud about something that I wasn't involved at all
Based
its cool thing that they have strong singles outside of the albuns
Hey Jude are also an non single album
I feel Sgt. Peppers incorporates other instruments and other styles of music but not as impressively as Pet Sounds. She's Leaving Home is the baroque song and Within You Without You is the India song. Pet Sounds blended a huge number of instruments including stuff like the theremin and made it sound rather original, not like it's just delving into different already established sounds.
ITT: plebs
Sgt. Pepper sounded like it was trying too hard to be interesting. Pet Sounds was still trying to be a likable album as opposed to a 40 minute wankfest with single padding
agreers
Pepper isn't even the Beatles' best album. It tries to be all over the place but achieves nothing. The leap from rubber soul to revolver was great, the leap from sgt to white album eas also great, but sgt is just repeating revolver but with little more orchestration. Yes, there may be great ideas, but the way they were put into songs is poor. I do appreciate eclecticism of Beatles, but in this case the songs are just bad both if you consider them as pop songs and if you consider them as progressively sounding stuff (tomorrow never knows, I'm only sleeping, strawberry fields, revolution 9 were probably rather progressive)
And on the other side we have pet sounds, which came out before any other artist even tried to do something progressive and conceptual. Before face to face, before freak out, before revolver etc. It sounds as a complex work both musically and lyrically. It was composed and arranged entirely by one guy, it sounds copmlex, but it remains a good sounding record. It just flows and you don't pay attention to random gimmicks but it still sounds much greater than everything else. Probably true that beach boys didn't do any other great albums like this, but again, the leap from everything before to pet sounds is just giant.
Sgt Pepper's all the way
Pet Sounds is great though
OH CAROLIIIIIIIIIIIINE NOOOOOOOO
Except it does you tard boomer, the shitles are tweeny pop music no matter how hard they tried to appear artsy in the most shallow possible ways to appeal to idiots of your caliber
this is better than both
>"I feel so broke up, I wanna go home"
>"Why don't you leave me alone, yeah yeah"
Sgt pepper is far from their best shit. I’ve played every Beatles bass line. Go to abbey road.
who cares??
