Somehow this managed to have the depth that TMB and Amok lacked. It's very well produced, reminds me of other electronic music in a good way, I think he's finally struck a balance between trying to emulate the music he loves vs adding a Radiohead-y twist to it. Twist, The Axe, Not The News are all god tier in my opinion.

It's his most refined and probably his best solo release so far but it seems like 2019 is a bit late for this album. Like hes been working on this sound for his solo career since 2006, and many of the "new" elements are just recycled Radiohead ideas from Kid A, TKOL, and AMSP. Even though the production is incredible and songwriting pretty tight nothing about it is surprising in the least which decreases my immediate enjoyment of the album. Still great but it just feels like it should have come out it in 2010.
