I'll have to give it a few more good listens before I rank it definitively but it's definitely pretty high up there as far as 2019 albums go imo

Oh and also fuck Pitchfork

This is the greatest gift I have ever received.

Yes.

maybe listen to more than a dozen albums you pleb

THANK GOD FOR THIS FRESHLY INSPIRED THOM YORKE

KAWAAI-KUN DESU HONTOU-SHI

he uses some Japanese on the album

yeah that’s what billie likes to do
especially when it comes to khalid

I'm just happy the media isn't mean to him. He seems to be a person who doesn't need to get slagged on in his creative endeavors. Music is an outlet and job for this man. He's given some respect in that.

bold of him to cover an entire vladislav delay album, especially anima

INDUSTRY PLANT

Nothing has beat mdou moctar’s album for me.

Bill Callahan came close tho

i'm listening to it right now and i nearly cried fucking tears. mellow spoken wordish thom is amazing

production is good, it's a good mixture of afroshit with tight percussions and wobbly synths, the usual from thom and that's probably the problem
it sounds like something we sould expect from Thom, its like he's not trying to do something new

and I always have the impression that he composes a cool electronic/instrumental tune and then he sings over it to add some structure

the eraser is still better, and I liked TMB more than this

I'm listening to it right now
am a big Radiohead/Thom yorke fan for decades

For some reason, I didn't expect much of it, like I expected it to be a bit jammy and half arsed; yet nothing really justified my preconception, it was just a feeling, an intuition

Well, turns out it's a bit jammy and half arsed, like he messed around with his laptop and sang over it... maybe it will grow on me

I absolutely loved The Eraser and TMB btw

Eh?

What publications do u recommend

Wdym

thats a BoC song, and a good one

Meh album, I can see why pitchfork would give it an 8.3

sometimes I wonder what kind of music Thom would be making if he hadn't started ripping off Aphex Twin 20 years ago

Even shittier pop rock

The production is superb, the music is boring and quite frankly an outrageous rehash of trendy electro.

learn to find music without droning a site’s collective opinion you pleb

Why don't you tell him how

why don’t you shove your phone up your dickhole?
