>has-been pop star >raking in millions a year on The Voice doing minimal work >gets cocky, quits the show and declares she hated the show >releases song about how much she hates the show and it's time for her big comeback >releases a bunch of ooogy boogy rap shit music >album flops miserably
Im surprised it got that high if you're telling the truth, are you denying it flopped?
Liam Bennett
Number 6 for a pop star that they used to think will top Britney is incredibly low. Especially considering how she desperately tried to stay relevant before the release of this.

Chrsitina Aguilera [RCA, 1999] "Genie in a Bottle" was such a dazzlingly clever piece of teen self-exploration cum sexploitation that it seemed the better part of valor to hope it was a fluke. But this was avoidance--like LeAnn and unlike Britney, Christina already has "adult" grit and phrasing down pat, and so threatens to join Gloria, Mariah, Celine, and LeAnn herself in the endless parade of Diane Warren-fueled divas-by-fiat hitting high notes and signifying less than nothing. "What a Girl Wants" is clever, too, but in a far less ingratiating way--like its two-hour promotional video writ small, it raises the question of how this ruthlessly atypical young careerist can presume to advise girls not cursed with her ambition, and the fear that some of them will make her a role model regardless. Give me Left Eye any day. C+
Does this guy ever write any reviews that aren't just projecting his own shitty beliefs onto the artist?
Samuel Scott
He's not wrong that Christina never wanted to be in with the Britney thing and it was forced on her by the label, she wanted to be more of an "adult" performer. But he didn't have to be this much of a douche about it especially what with giving As to Taylor Swift who is about as ruthless and careerist as they come.
Nathaniel Phillips
Also fuck her and her buddies for that desecration of Patti LaBelle's masterpiece.
William Jenkins
What the fuck went wrong? She's beautiful and actually has talent. Her voice is one of a kind. She was on the right track with Back to Basics and then it was like she just stopped caring. She had potential to go down as a legend if she had played her cards right. Literally how did her career end up like this?
Joshua Brooks
Isn't it obvious user? She's actually a reptilian.
Cameron Young
Her voice isn't that great. She can sing but she lacks subtlety. She's always screaming like a banshee in heat.
Sebastian Walker
Her singing kind of sucks dude.
Chase Rogers
But we can objectively agree that oversinging exists, right?
Evan Moore
she was the hottest thing on earth when she was a teen
Yeah, it's deteriorated over the years since she never learned the proper technique and always tries to sing out of her range. But she was renowned for her voice at one point.
Owen Murphy
Whitney Houston started that "ride the scales" fad that dominated the 90s-early 2000s. Now I don't agree with the bullshit in that all of them are empty artists with nothing to say, although I'll certainly agree Mariah Carey was.
Connor Wood
Name one female singer that has a better voice than 'guilera, apart from Celine and Mariah.
Grayson Ortiz
ariana grande
Gabriel Smith
Mariah also KOed her voice although in that case I can't quite understand why since she was always pretty much of a studio artist who rarely performed live.
Jack King
If you saw her MTV Unplugged show, her singing was much more restrained and tasteful than on the albums.
Her technique and tone suck. She'll be struggling for high notes by the time she's 34.
Jackson Rodriguez
Isn't it sad that Lil' Kim was the best part of that song?
Easton Hall
>Name one female singer
Not even limiting it to pop singers? Any female singer at all? You're banking on ignorance there. Any classical, jazz, or soul singer - past or present - smokes Aguilera.
