easier than b major desu
ah, the regular söyhand thread
>can't even play B Major
I guess you can't play Bbmaj7 , or Gm huh?
>literally shouldn't be playing guitar if you can't play that chord.
>major 7th chords
These sound like ass anyway, he’s not missing anything there.
>he doesnt use FAGDAD tuning
Get a load of this chordlet lmao
pro-tip
dont bar it just hold the low b and the rest of the chord, leave the e string open, holy shit youre like a shoegaze hendrix.
also pro tip
dont play chords the way people tell you to
>he just plays zombie chords
Like any chord you struggle with find a song you like that has the chord in it and practice the hell out of it. I Shall Be Released comes to mind for B Minor.
it must suck to listen to music then
I can play any chord, Major 7th just sound so fucking dull most the time. Minor 7ths are nice though.
Here’s a sheet for major 7th tards.
wow
moron
I learned my first song in that key it's pretty easy. Faust arp
literal truth
samefag
Do you have palsy...?
no i don't have a pasty
I don't even know where to begin with this. Do you listen exclusively to music devoid of major 7ths? Do you only hate major 7th chords or do you hate arpeggios too? Do you hate major 9ths? Do you groan in agony in the end of a 251 progression?
Please explain your reasoning at least.
Based
hating major sevenths is like hating the beatles
Get a load of this dexteritylet
It's literally just a Barre Chord though? You're either a first day guitarist or bait
>tfw manlet with tiny hands
it's over for me isn't it?
What's even the fucking point I'll never be good at anything
IS THAT A FUCKING CHILDS HAND?
no just failed genetics
Fmaj7 is literally the best chord
Condolences, but when you're sub five foot I think the proper term is microboy
no I'm 5'5" so just regular tier manlet
agree
What the fuck? How do you have a 6cm middle finger? Post your entire arm
very based
not sure why my photos keep rotating sorry friendo
Post em
Nevermind I misremembered what 6cm actually was and thought you must've had comically small hands, but they're not really.
Also height doesn't seem to factor much in how big your hands are. Another thing - after 10 yrs of playing guitar I still can't really play barre chords - even with 'big' hands.
>playing on classical
>Want to wrap around for this one fingering
>requires index on A string
>can't at fucking all
End my life. Is it a manlet hand thing or is it something nobody can do?
You can’t play it because you literally ‘b minor’ lol
Haha nah just kidding fuck off but to high school cunt xoxo
10 years? That’s impossible I’ve been playing around 10 as well, but extremely casually and I’ve been able to play them with ease for more then half that time.
Jesus christ it took me a week.
unless you're using strings with non existent action I'm going to presume you are grossly exaggerating
is this a troll thread?
keep practicing you dont want to be a capofag
Dylan used capos.
Pianofag here. Is pic related at all possible to play on guitar? I really like the open sus/minor sound but it looks like some pretty big stretches to me.
tune to drop D then play it like
12
10
10
and so forth
you dont need to play it that way
i can do the
7
5
3
easily enough but
7
5
2
hurts
fortunately you can just do
2
0
x
2
This is on a seven string guitar in standard tuning,so I need the B low note
Ok cool. To be honest I'm not sure what those X notes are - skipping over the string? Is it possible to do that when the string is "inside" the chord (eg not one of the outer strings that you just don't strum?
That's totally playable. 3-5-7 is a stretch but it's not impossible. You could always play it as 8-10-12 on the E string anyway.
ah didn't notice that. same thing applies just detune the B string a full step
Nevermind, I didn't see the 2-5-7. You would need either an alternate fingering or alternate tuning for that. Or giant hands.
X means muted string and muting strings inside of chords is very common. There's a popular G major open voicing that involves muting the a string.
Technically everyone can b-minor for the first few years of their lives
Thanks dudes. Here's the drums + bass part that goes under the riff for context
yes x means you just touch the string with a finger to keep it from vibrating.
Of course im not a pickfag and id just play the three applicable strings if possible :^)
my hands are marginally bigger and no chords are a problem, just practice senpai. The more I practiced, the more I could stretch my fingers
>>tfw manlet with tiny hands
>it's over for me isn't it?
>What's even the fucking point I'll never be good at anything
Go and try a 3/4 scale guitar. mucho better for hands, and yes, your hands are small, so... CAPO!!!!
>tfw you cant make your left hand pinky touch your ring finger anymore with your hand flat
/thread
>No your dad's gay!
I still can't do this shit consistently, even if I death grip it there's a 50/50 chance the E will buzz
Most of the time I just do it the easy way (mash all three with my pinky) and let the E get muted
yip yip
ooooffffffffffffff
7th chords: major, dominant, and minor are very frequently used in jazz and also modern rock music. It's impossible to escape these.
Bro it takes time and you can do it closing your eyes after that. Every chord seems hard regardless of shape if you haven't practiced and gotten used to it.
>having trouble with that 257
Ohohoho.
[spoiler]Just finger the 57, strum from down to up and adjust your index to the 2 before your picking hand gets to that string.
it's literally the same chord shape and all you do is move it around, why do normies need 5 different charts when they can just learn the notes on the lowest 2 strings?
He was also a shit guitarist
how the fuck
i only started guitar late last year and yes it's hard at first but you get it eventually
sometimes my forefinger doesn't press down hard enough but like
otherwise it's fine
Anyone having trouble with the Am-barre shape should know this: You dont need to press the high e-string, just mute it. Just play the four middle strings, it will sound fine. Plus to anyone saying that "my finger too small owoo im baby" you know that you can place your thumb lower on the neck right? You dont need to do that Hendrix thingy all the time
Can I just play the A major chord shape with my ring finger pressing the 4 and 3 strings, pinky on 2 and index barring from 1 to 5? My fingers are too big to do one string each on the non-barre strings
You could also try to do a mini barre with your ring finger on the 3rd, 4th and 5th strings while barreing with the first finger (?) like regurally. So you would just be using two fingers. But just do whaterever sounds best, because its all about the music
>Do you hate major 9ths?
are you implying they're similar? cause they're not
Bighand chad here, can't understand why people have trouble w barre chords.
you're not supposed to play the E
If you don’t play it like this you are a handlet.
>having the time to play that and not barring fourth fret with your pinky
>not playing it with all three fingers
>not being able to quickly change it to a suspended or 7th chord
this is bait, obviously
I use my thumb for the root note of major chords on the 6 string, to be honest.
The zone between my finger and my thumb (the wolfs mouth) hurts like hell, so I can't capo correctly.
I just mash DG and B with my index. Fuck it.
>Major 7th
1357
>Major 9th
13579
I don't know man, they seem pretty similar to me.
this is why bass is better. no barre chord bullshit
you can do it without changing the fingering once you get used to stretched chords on guitar
unless you have smallish hands anyway
bassed
the virgin "chord" player vs the chad power chord boomer
people actually play a major shape barres by not using your ring finger or pinky finger to barre the 3 strings?
>tfw wanna learn guitar
Learn guitar then?
i have bad hands that cramp up really easy
also i dont wanna bother my roommates with my bad playing
buy a preamp for headphones
Buy a big neck then and none of that student shit
>no barre chord bullshit
(not true, by the way)
Learn your chord shapes, people
play chords on a superior instrument
>e.guitar players cant hit barre chords

how do i get a good form for barres if my finger sides have dips in them?
Based.
