If we disregard the "16 y/o SoundCloud rapper" label attached to it, why is it a bad DAW?

there's no such fucking thing as a bad DAW. Stick to a tool and just learn it.
it's not
retards think it is because they only judge by the default plugins, which you should never use in the first place anyway
Since this thread is a thing someone redpill me on Ableton, why do people recommend it when it has a shittier GUI than FL studio?
GUI quality is extremely subjective.
i dont see a reason why it would be a bad daw. maybe because its accessible compared to ableton? you can record stuff into it, create patterns, instal plugins, mix your stuff like in any other daw.
Sampling is way less intuitive than Ableton. Ableton just has a much better workflow. It's accessible though, and some good music has been made in it. Use whatever you want to.
GUI is designed to be all about speed, that is minimal number of mouse clicks for desired result.
Very easy to make loop driven music, that and the ability to play it out live as a DJ/ effects setup for bands etc.
The only true flaw is the fact that you can't have multiple time signatures or tempos in a single project. Other than that, it's fantastic.
Little niggly things.
Like why can't I make coloured markers?
Or why is it so difficult to move tracks on playlist?
you can, what are you talking about
What about computer efficiency though?
You can do this, automate the tempo by right clicking it.
It's buggy as hell though.
FL is the perfect DAW desu. I've tried everything else but they're all so messy. At the end of the day, it's about personal taste. I've never had a problem with FL though. It does everything I want it to do
How can you have multiple time signatures? Would really like to know
since you used both, how is edison worse than anything ableton can provide?
use automation to change the tempo
All DAW's are essentially summing engines. It's just how they implement workflow.
Ableton performs just as well as Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, FL, Reaper... etc
Buy yourself a relatively decent audio interface and see for yourself.
I myself like using live because the lack of menus and it's ease of use manipulating midi and audio
*compared w/ the aforementioned
He wanted to know time signatures, not tempo
you can change them in each pattern
A daw's only as good as its plugins
its really bad for anything live
That's what instruments are for though.
/thread
cause you can do this to it
