I'll play that but I'd say it constantly verges on being emotionally manipulative with the constant melodrama. At the very least, the story that leads to the emotional moments is incredibly convenient.

It's just a real nice game, I feel like you're missing that it feels so engaging because unlike other choose your own adventures/interactive novels you can rewind time, so every choice is actually your own. The story beats are nice and have high energy and its a sweet comfy.
The ending is straight up not a twist though, if you want to make some J.O. Incandenza found art into an interactive novel be my guest but i think you're going to find that all art forms largely rely on melodrama to have any semblance of interest.
Main thing I remember is playing the whole thing in one sitting and getting to the part where you are listening to Bright eyes in Chloe's bedroom and really enjoying just sitting there listenign to it

Yeah, I love that song. Bright Eyes are a great band. It was a genius decision to buy that music to make you feel something the writing couldn't. I said ending but I meant the villain reveal. That shit was not setup at all and the red herrings are fucking outrageous.
I'm not looking for high art from Life is Strange, but it inarguable that dialogue is all cringeworthy attempts at emulating teenagers and the gameplay frequently fucking sucks. That diner scene with the guessing was ridiculous.

Oh yeah, I agree with on the fact it was the photography teacher, I thought it would have been better to keep the story teenage centric with the kid who was a lacky being the bad guy. I didn't think the dialogue was incredible but then again, I looked back at some old messages of how I used to speak and it seems to me that its really hard to emulate how teenagers speak in art without it being cringy because teenagers speak in a way that is itself pretty embarrassing.
Whats dinner scene are you referring too? I thought that was in Before the Storm but I might have forgotten something

What do you even call this? It's not a puzzle, it doesn't require skill, the events aren't quick time, but you can fail if you don't do the monotonous process exactly right. The most egregious part is that it's not like you're pulling this shit off Groundhog's Day style to impress her, she already basically believes you and this is just "proof".
