It's not really that deep

Are you kidding? The water's up to their necks! It's 5 feet deep at least

I was referring to the profundity of the subject matter and lyrics of the album, not the depth of the water in the photograph in the album art.

The Beatles of post-rock

nah they’re just manlets

It's lyrically hit and miss but there are bunch of awesome instrumental moments. I fucking love Don Aman's chilling depiction of anxiety. Breadcrumb Trail leading to and after WE TOOK OUT OUR HANDS AND MET THE WINDDDDD is sweet too.

Lame you copied my joke from a few days ago

i assume you mean lyrically, but its not trying to be deep friend
everyone projects their own sadness onto this album when its really just some goofball 19 year olds making interesting music

yeah, it was basically a bunch of art-kids who set out to make an album that sounded creepy and mysterious. the lyrics are a bunch of spooky stories whose meaning the members remain cagey about to this day, but i assume that's just to add to the mystery. the lyrics probably don't have much going on under the hood, honestly. the stories told on the album itself, judged on their own merit, are for the most part pretty good. whatever meaning they had is really up to the listener. is it pretentious? yeee. is it good tho? [double] yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

bruh they were like 17

yeah they were.

Sorry user, I wouldn't have had I known it'd been done before

Thats the point.

Low hanging fruit

this album sucks ass how did it become so well liked online

the fact that these kids wrote don aman and good morning captain at the age of 17 is fucking beyond me, i dont care how pretentious you find it to be

I've seen this joke like 5 times in the past couple days now
