She did get fucked over by the industry at the beginning, shortly after she debuted in 2011. Female rap was such a tiny genre then; it was a different time. No one thought a skinny dark-skin girl in hip hop could crossover.
A year or two after her debut, T.I. finds some white girl named Amy from the Australian countryside, buys her butt implants, teaches her this ridiculous Atlanta blaccent, ghostwrotes her raps, and gives her the stage surname "Azalea," because Azealia Banks' name was already on peoples' lips. He then proceeds to buy Iggy Azalea a grammy nom for Best Rap Album for The New Classic, the same year that Azealia released Broke With Expensive Taste, an absurdly better album.
It was like all of her social anxieties manifested as the older black male gatekeepers in hip hop were stealing her name and buying accolades for this big booty white girl sex doll with zero talent. That might make you go insane too. The industry is all politics and corruption, and there's too long a history of talented dark-skin women ghostwriting and ghost-singing for lighter artists.
Azealia's conclusions may seem delusional given her consistently bizarre antics and given that America is supposedly woke now, but I was a fan 8 years ago and saw how the industry mishandled and discarded her. And it was certainly *before* she went insane.
