What do you guys think of noise music? For those of you who haven't listened to it, I've included a link to an album by Japanese noise artist Masami Atika. The album is called Pulse Demon, what do you guys think?

>The album is called Pulse Demon,
anyone who has listened to noise knows this is the worst introduction album
Is it really that inaccessable?
No, it's really uninteresting compared to other Merzbow albums
okay user gotcha thx for the feedback.
merzbeat is the only one I like.
Tadpole is a great track
Hybrid Noisebloom is one of his best, Venereology is pretty solid too as are his collabs with Boris, Full Of Hell and the one Japanese guy with the weird album covers What'sHisName.
they all sound the same you fucking tards
there’s like 3 threads about merzbow everyday dingus
Noisembryo > Hybrid noisebloom
escape mask is also a not often spoken about highlight for him imo
If you're interested in Japanoise I'd suggest stuff like the Gerogerigegege, Keiji Haino and Hanatarash over merzbow, which is pretty entry level. Not saying he's bad, just not as interesting as other Japanoise artists.
I make noise but honestly hate listening to it
Don't forget Oersted, is one of his best texture wise
>t. tone deaf earlet
there hasn't been a good noise record in decades
i guess by noise i mean harsh noise
I like it. The feeling you get listening to noise music can be pretty unique. You aren't being obviously pushed to feel happy or sad like in more typical music genres. Most modern music has a pretty limited emotional vocabulary. Noise and ambient music has some subtleties that you don't get as often in other genres. Look at these for examples of what I'm talking about:

Harsher noise for me is much more intense of course, but noise is kind of on a spectrum in the first place.
