What is your favourite Heavy Metal album and why is it Master of Puppets?
Filosofem
basic
Master of puppets. Every track is nearly perfect, and the title track is probably one of the best, if not the best, metal songs ever made.
Yes
rudimentary, sherlock

Meeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's too hard to pick a single one, MoP is one of my favorites though.

guys, I need to find a song. can't remember the artist, nor the album. I do remember that there was a wolf's head on the album cover art. (no, not powerwolf)
it was a pretty long song that was basically noise.
I bet at least 12 of you know what I'm talking about.
favourite metallica album? yes
favourite metal album? far from
paranoid by black sabbath
>paranoid by black sabbath
so fucking overrated
paranoid plus self titled literally created metal you turbo shitter
this
That doesn't inherently mean it's good, and even if it is good that doesn't stop it from potentially being overrated.
imagine getting filtered by fucking paranoid
Not as overrated as Master of Reality
i love early black sabbath but i just cant get into master of reality, after forever is pretty good and lord of this world.
but its nowhere near as interesting as the other albums
Probably The Sound of Perseverance
imagine going through near 50 years of metal and your favorite being the second one lmao
Not even their best album
Yeah, I feel similarly although I prefer other tracks. It just not a very fun album, imo; most songs are pretty forgettable and the production sounds too shitty for
my taste. MoR is kinda awkwardly nested between Paranoid, which is at least a fun bluesy hardrock/metal album, and Vol. 4, which is 100x more interesting than MoR
It‘s called being a boomer
Black Sabbath's debut is better than Paranoid just for the opening track alone
jeah its a really good song but the other songs i really like on that album are covers(evil woman and warning) the wizard is kinda cool i guess and sleeping village is nice aswell, dont care for NIB that much only the bass solo.
i feel like paranoid is just way more refined, and i feel war pigs overshadows it
One could say it's a masterpiece.
Blood Mountain
Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley
Take the Motörpill
Absolutely based
owned
>This album is the best because it was released before anything else
this or the Ultra Violence
Because Metallica are based
mr bungle self titled or earth 2
yes hahaha.... YES
A CHALLENGER APPEARS
it has four great GREAT songs but some of it feels like filler.
Master of Reality might be their best

>unironically listening to Metallica past the age of 13

Every riff on this album hits hard. The guitar tone is killer. The drumming is concussive and tight. The experimental factors like the french horns, female choral vocals, and timpanis aren't distracting and add to the mystical atmosphere of the album. Tom G. Warrior's vocals are also supremely based, being powerful yet easy to understand(for people who aren't fans of the genre). The vaguely Robert E. Howard-esque lyrical content is pretty cool, too.
Personal favorite extreme metal album of all time.
Hey Metallica yaaaaaaaaaaa
that one
true. my favorite track is orion though.
