Myself.

I play what I want to hear.

All other answers are wrong unless you are just a consumer and not an artist/player.

I bet you suck balls.

You're a narcissus and you're wrong but you won't be swayed because you're a narcissus. Or you're trolling.

Bert Jansch, especially his early aggressive fingerpicking on songs like Nottamun Town.

Fuck me, get over yourself. I’m quite a decent singer and guitarist and it would never occur to me to suggest myself.

Music is a language. A guitarist expresses himself through it. Objecting to this faggot that prefers himself is absurd; of course he does. Once your English vocabulary was firmly established, did you prefer others speak on your behalf? There's little chance, unless you are soulless and weak. Here's to you, Narcissist Fag... May we all endeavor to have such confidence in our own voice.

Pretentious farts
Especially the second fag, get yer head outta yer ass and breath in the air for once

Lmao.

I agree with >me poster insofar as I enjoy playing music more than listening to it. but probably SRV for real. I love his whole jangly blues shtick.

My favorite guitarist is Bradley nowell. Plz no bully

He'd be the first to say the best was and still is Shawn Lane

Why are they all smoking? What the fuck is this psych op shit? Fucking big cigarette. Hands in the music industry.

Stephen Stills. He’s underrated imo.

That's because they were best buddies and Bucket is a really humble dude (in reality Bucket is still better)

based but julian wrote the first album entirely

this, one of the most interesting and innovative guitarists in metal

Based and /thread

Paul Gilbert was Buckethead's teacher and Paul never referred to Buckethead as the most terrifying guy of all time, but he did refer to Shawn as such.

Electric – Rory Gallagher
Acoustic – Bert Jansch

Objectively the best in their given fields.

Man, Fuckin' Dimebag. Him and Randy Rhoads.

In general probably Trey Azagthoth
For solos Gilmour
Riffs Blackmore

Based.

Chuck Schuldiner. One of the most versatile guitarists in heavy metal history

>versatile
He was gay, right?

I haven't heard that before, so there's no evidence that I know of. If he was why would it matter. I personally dont care if someone's a fag as long as they make good music.

>Rory Gallagher
can you answer meplease and thanks if so

there is a copypasta implying he died of aids
the only evidence people have is that paul masvidal(who is gay) played on Human

Oh, good to know. Thanks user.

the superior death metalist

>the only evidence people have is that paul masvidal(who is gay) played on Human
As well as his speaking voice and mannerisms, and his perpetual bachelor status

I know plenty of people who have a speaking voice and way of speech like his who are straight as an arrow. I think he's one of those guys who was married to his work. Between writing great music and completely changing his bands lineup from album to album, he probably didn't have much free time anyway.

means literally nothing
plenty of musicians live only for their music
he talked like a fucking surfer dude
it's certainly implied in documentaries that he had a girlfriend at some point

none of you dumb faggots know anything about the instrument you just keep posting these lame rockstars... the occasional obscure folk faggot whos only posted because he gives off a particular image rather than being a good guitarist... fuck yall

lemme guess, we are plebs cause we don't care about Allan Holdsworth?

i'm the best guitarist alive right now

Thanks for all the good music Omar Rodriguez Lopez!

this guy sucks

based
Chuck had good riffs but Azagthoth also had the otherworldly atmosphere

bump

Fripp or Steve Howe

>comment your favorite guitarist

it's not a thread about who's objectively the best, sweetie

Yes, I play an Iceman
Yes, its because he played one
Daron Malakian is my guitar hero
