agreed, this is album of the year but obviously not album of decade

i think it was trying too hard to be anachronistic at times (the start to xXXi_wud_nvrstop_ÜXXx sounds like fucking everytime we touch) but it's worth listening to.

Its really catchy/fun and pulls off 2000s nostalgia very well while still experimenting

I just found it annoying honestly. Everyone has their own tastes though.

it opens a track with "hey lil piss baby" and manages to have that intro kinda work with a great hook.
but at times i couldnt help but feel like i was kinda consuming silly chipmunk yt videos.

The instrumental was okay but the vocals are fucking obnoxious and I just couldn't stand it.

I agree with this, really loving the album so far but i think it mostly shows their potential instead of being their best possible

laura's past solo works and other projects have been canonized on rym for years. she already has shown herself to be a very creative diverse producer capable of innovative unique music in a variety of styles that touch on people fascination of pop culture and low brow aesthetics. this is her blowing up to a mainstream scale but she has been relevant in serious music circles for years

personally id prefer to see laura bounce from project to project. shes had so many diverse projects that are all amazing i wouldnt want to see her tie herself down to this specific sound cause its the one that achieved the greatest buzz in the plebosphere

I dont really have any knowledge of her stuff outside this, i do hope this project does get more than just this 25 minute piece though, felt more like a prototype than fullfledged project to me
