How do I cure this retardation. I'm selecting different pre-amps, tone types, effects, adjusting settings like gain, attack, etc and they all still sound the same save for maybe the mids, etc. It's like when all anime girls have samefag faces and they all look exactly the same but some might have really retarded design choices to try and make them unique/memorable.
How can I translate the melodies I come up with through vocalizing on the guitar? Just one by one matching the pitches of the notes is really difficult and slow for me.

Metal guitars are the ones with the widest necks actually in my experience. Anything fender is usually 42mm and below while almost all metal guitars are 43mm. Ibanez has very slim neck depth but socal 1 charvels could be a decent choice. I tried one that had a nice D profile. Also big hands doesn't necessarily mean you'd need a big guitar neck and vice versa.

Not necessarily, it really depends on your style of playing. It's about the neck profile and the fretboard radius plus string spacing. If you want to try a relatively thick neck, look for a baja telecaster with a butterscotch body. Those have a 50s profile V. Might not be your cup of tea if you want to play metal but it'll give you a good idea of how bigger necks feel. On the opposite end of the spectrum would be yamaha pacificas and fender squiers which tend to have very think and small necks. The charvel socal 1 models have a nice D shape with a wide fretboard and compound radius meaning the fretboard is rounder at the head and flatter near the body for playing that combines easier chords with fast leads in different neck areas. Ibanez guitars have an ultra flat radius and the necks are super thin. They'll naturally force you to adapt a thumb behind the neck position because there really isn't anything to hold onto otherwise. In the end the neck has to feel comfortable for you and you might only really find out what you like after having played a while and being sure that your technique isn't ass. For example I developed problems with my fretting hand on my pacifica because I felt the neck was too thin before I was told that I press the strings down much too hard. It got better after I relaxed but I'd still like a bigger neck after having played a charvel now because it felt super comfortable.

Sure but that's not proficiency. You also need to understand the rhythm in time and be able to figure out where on the neck to play it with all the possibilities available. In my opinion being a good sight reader does also mean you'd be able to notate your own music easily and that you'd be able to reproduce a blind piece that isn't overly complex on the first try.
