It says demo, but I think I wanna forget it and just move on
It’s the first non sample based song I actually decided to finish.
Vocals are pretty trash, just a warning
I NEED FEEDBACK
If there is anything you think can be better TELL ME!
Listened to the first track. I enjoy the instrumental’s composition itself, and you have a decent voice for post punk, but the muddy mix kinda ruins it for me.
I enjoy Lo fi music, but I feel like the instruments need way more of a presence, especially the drums.
Forgot to say,
Already listened to this a while ago. Love it.

Updated this one, it ain't perfect by a longshot but the last version on there sounded like I was opi'd out my damn mind and barely had the will left to breathe let alone sing.
Also I ran it through a fancy vst to optimise it, thanks /prod/
>wtf is this shit
i guess it was inevitable. great concept and melodies but the songs are too short to portray the epic scope of this project. also pleeeease include a cover of that schmoyoho winning song you have to even if its a hidden or bonus track.

my first track hope you enjoy. i haven't mastered it yet so it's pretty quiet. sorry!
>folk

i like it for the most part. the vocals on some of the tracks seem kind of out of place though. track 3 is a great example of where they really feel like they're part of the song. i like the feeeeling i dig the vibe keep it up!!!
this is chaos mode and i like it. i think you struck a good balance with the distortion. even with the BMMMMMMF loud distortion you can make out the vocals and samples and stuff. nice work.
definitely better with the vocals imo. i feel like it needs that low frequency anchor. oh and when that high note comes in at like 26 seconds hooooooweeee i like it a lot.

I want to collaborate with others, so please hit me up if interested and also lonely.
I really like the melody and the carwashy noise surrounding the backing track. It’s wistful and bright sounding. However the vocal is mixed so low I can’t tell what you are saying, and it makes the vocal sound worse ironically because it’s distracting instead of informative or pleasing. I would turn the vocal up some.
Your voice and delivery is wonderful and genuine. This is a really sweet song and the sound quality is nice. I’m jealous of whatever microphone you have.
love the sound design, form this song and on other i see a lot of potential, quite unique also
eerie but at the same time, at parts i want to dance to, i like it
sounds very nice, i think the drums could be mixed better, they are kind of not working with the beautiful sounds harmonics in the background but i really like what you are doing, keep going!!!!!

Thx for the support and the suggestions! I started recording this as merely a demo so the mixing needs a lot of work to get it right. Still, really appreciate the tips so as to do a clean mix someday soon! cheers.
Thx u made my day! (Im using a Samson (pro) microphone. Quite a budget microphone! It can also record guitar!
--Updates--
Two new songs: "And That’s the Way It Is" & "Light and Light".
The track list for Cardboard Girls is finished, all that’s left are final touches. I’ll release it on BC and SC in the near future.
Unless I somehow obtain the budget to rerecord these songs in better quality later on (highly unlikely), I'm considering this my debut album.
The links on Instaudio will be taken down shortly before launch, but I'll probably still use it to host new demos.
Any feedback is still appreciated, and thank you again to the few who already gave me feedback over the past few months.

holy shit bro, nice flow, nice beat, only complaint that i got is the distorted bass, but everything on this is great!
Sounds interesting, the beat is pretty good, the vocals need better mixing, pretty hypnotizing in general.
pretty rough-sounding to tell, but there is some stuff in here that can work, my girl, the day you die and your previous stuff in general have some nice vibes.
pretty good stuff, i liked fourteen and confabulation, you remind me a lot of Joanna Newsom, im digging the background vocals on confabulation
yo what the fuck is this and why does it sound so good? big recc, no masterization needed imo
wtf is this shit indeed.
beautiful, but it needs some far better masterization and mixing, try and work more on it. loved the chord progression and the vocals overall. reposted it. imma check out ur stuff.

listened to untitled demo. holy fuck that is mastered loud. anyways, i dig the actual track, its clearly a bit rough but I think you pull it off. I actually don't mind the vocals at all.
I like the ambient intro, but it is a bit long winded imo. The changeup at 2:43 is pretty nice. I wish the whole thing was a bit more cohesive, it feels like a bunch of disconnected ideas thrown together. That being said though I enjoy everything you have, I just think it could be more cohesive / have a better flow to it.

There's a little everything; the important part is the compositions more than the individual elements.

Thank you guys for the feedback
Wow, this was great.
Kinda reminds me of the freak folk AnCo were doing on Sung Tongs.
Love the fucking saw.
Well produced, catchy, interesting instrumentally, really great track.
Yea, I kinda thought the vocals were a bit low. That was something I was really debating myself on when adjusting levels. I guess I now know they aren’t high enough. Thanks for the feedback.
I listened to Monster.
Really enjoyed it too. Very solid and poetic songwriting on there, and some really good vocals to support it.
I also liked the low key but well done instrumental.
It’s conventionally structured, but it’s carchy and works well.
Will definitely try and listen to more of your stuff.
The synths sounded a little stock, but I did enjoy the track overall.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the new agey vibe it has.
Really good.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed my mishmash of ideas in one track. I can't see the disconnection you see as they all seem to be carrying similar ideas from the same samples, that being a longing for connection thru a fracturing mind. Idk how I can make this more cohesive to your mind. Maybe I should add edward's speech over it to make it feel like a DJ mix. I also need to add more definition to the drums at the last two sections there. Anyway, got any titles to give my track? It's been "untitled" for so long & I need to give it a name as I'm finding it hard trying to call it something I'm comfortable seeing / saying.
vocal style is cool, very interesting
cool noise stuff
excellent weirdness, no notes lol
the video link is absolutely brutal
OH SHIT!! THE BEST GUY IN THESE THREADS IS BACK WIT A NEW ALBUM!! where can I buy it?
???
lol. it doesn't exist yet :^)
The vocals sound noticeably more confident. Reminds me of Syd Barrett solo stuff at times.
Great attitude.I think the clapping percussion/whistling and shouting give it a nice live improv type feel.
I like the harmonies and phrasing in this.
Get a soundcloud. You can change your name and URL or delete tracks later. More people will listen and people that like your stuff can find you.
The white noise is a bit high in the mix at times IMO
