Ah yes, I remember it very well: the feel when you're in your mid-twenties and you realize that certain people (not even necessarily musicians) were having their big breakthroughs when they were slightly younger than you.

It is happening to you, user. Soon you won't even know what It is, anymore.

i dont have any parents

>that line could have been Father McCartney

Beat this, I'm almost 29 and I've done nothing with my life. I've abandoned all of my dreams and goals to appease my parents and it's one of my biggest regrets I've had. Still today, at my age they still have a grasp on me and my development as a person. I've come to realize over the years they were nothing but defeatist towards anything I did, and wanted to do with my life to obey their ways. Where have I got from it, what have I accomplished, and who have I became from it and their "guidence"?, nothing. Just as bitter, angry, addiction filled, and spiteful towards the world and anyone that has had any slight success just like them. I've became my parents, and there's no turning back

It's weird looking at pictures of iconic musicians/actors/artists/etc and realizing just how young many of them really were.

Taylor Swift was 16 when her first single came out and 18 when she won the AOTY Grammy

holy fuck
get away from your parents and into therapy

Michael Jackson wouldn't have been out of middle school by the time he was a music icon.

I could write better songs at 14 than what Taylor Swift made as 18.

post em

I’m kinda jealous of these musicians, for sure, but I also have the hope of having greater high’s in my future. Releasing your “masterpiece” at such a young age will lead to a lifetime of comparisons as your work noticeably deteriorates.

Nigga you're only 29 not 75, don't pretend like you don't have any time left. Make something of your life you stupid fuck.

cut his parents out of his life, and get some serious psychological help.

you should make music about it if youre not a coward

taylor swift had writers with and a rich ass parent. its not the same as what the beatles managed to do at a young age

Same. There are a lot of musicians I like who released their first serious musical efforts in their early-to-mid thirties but didn't catch on until the Internet brought their work to more people. I've gotten a lot of satisfaction out of quietly working on my own musicianship, which has led to me being able to play with all kinds of other musicians.

Seasons will pass you by

i think about that all the time shit

fuck off you fat piece of shit. stop blaming others and get off your ass.

Paul was still living in the attic of his girlfriend's family house in 1967
