Somebody said he wanted to play in The Strokes in a song but don't remember, either way the difference between british rock and new yorkish is quite remarkable, Arctic Monkeys might be the Rolling Stones of our times while The Strokes is a band usually with a huge girl fanbase, I'd go directly for Arctic which have a more refined rock sound in their beginnings just as now are doing quite good but that doesn't mean The Strokes are huge in le New Yorkshire.
