in most places I've been, free insurance doesn't cover therapy for most people, and that's how it should be because it's a social service, not a medical one. in some cases where it's requested by a shrink, the patient can get free therapy on top of the medication.

My dad had necrotizing fascitis(google it) in his chest so he went to the emergency room alone and the doctor who saw him sent him home. Obvious infection with my dads huge red mark on his chest which looks like cellulitus but is incredibly painful compared to it and didn't even send him home with antibiotics. Dad asked for a taxi voucher because he could hardly walk and it was past midnight and the doc denied it. Fuck bad doctors.

Not OP but I'm a poorfag but my health insurance covers a free therapist within the practice I go to for my primary care physician. They aren't a doctor but were still worth going to. Believe it or not most people don't need an actual doctor to work through their mental health.

Ghosting is wrong though. They should take one more session unpaid or a phone call(better option desu) and just start the session with a quick "i'm sorry but I feel I can no longer offer my services heres a referall to other therapists". Ghosting is just unprofessional and you deserve to get fired for it.
