>admittedly a 30 something boomer

None of it
It’s because she is so... relatable y’know?
what a dumb thread
Lyrically, almost nothing. I like some of the composition of the lighter songs so maybe 2-3 or some merit.
fuck you shillie
thanks
>weird
No. Not at all. Generic and boring is more like it.
She's some edgy zoomer coalburner
I can't take anyone who uses the word "Degenerate" seriously.
Dw boomer user. At some point it's best to just let go. My breaking point was Lil Peep. Now that I don't care about what's popular I'm happier, listening to and watching more things that invigorate me. Drop the MCU and Billboard friend.
In this case op is describing the degeneration of the human spirit as decisions are made more and more on a for-profit basis, thus giving up our own willpower to a corporate egregore.
It's good because she's a girl and has titties. And questions?
I'm just disappointed Bad Guy is her huge hit and not You Should See Me in a Crown or Xanny. Bad Guy's lyrics are cringy.
Do people actually just stop listening to new music once they get old? I don't want to be a 30 year old Boomer who never explores new music even if it's hit and muss
She talks like a rapper and zoomers are desperate to pretend they have a musical revolution
Just because boomers don't listen to music engineered for tweens doesn't mean they stop listening to new music.
She’s just a modern Avril Lavigne. That’s just how pop stars have been since like sinatra
Normal people dont really care about listening to new music, they just listen to whatever the music lovers around them are freaking out about. It’s only a curious subset of people who love music who are out here seeking out new stuff to hear on a regular basis, and they don’t stop when they turn 30.
Nobody pretended Avril Lavigne was a musical revolution though, she was treated like a less slutty Britney Spears
idk my dad seemed to be pretty interested in music when he was young, lots of semi-known but also interesting artists like fahey, talking heads, kate bush, etc but he basically only listens to radio station now that plays indie rock, alt country, singer songwriters type stuff and he rarely listens to anything beyond that. i think the only full album of a newer artist he bought was Have one on Me and that came out like almost a decade ago at this point...
And only ironic trolls on Yea Forums treat Billie like that, everywhere else she’s just a decent to good pop star with a big teen following
dave grohl called billie eilish the next nirvana lol
you take that back. frank sinatra is good.
You say that like an artist who hasn’t been relevant in decades looking to get into headlines is an important indicator.
