>Post-Metal, Blackgaze, Noisecore // Doom Metal, Free-Improvisation, Harsh Noise, Screamo // lo-fi, dissonant, atonal, chaotic, surreal, hypnotic, noisy, sampling, androgynous vocals, Wall of Sound, raw, psychedelic, improvisation, apocalyptic, existential, anxious, lethargic
Debut release: a demo doubling up as an 'official bootleg' live album.
4 tracks, 35 minutes.
ASHBEL are a trio from Melbourne, Australia channeling their surrealistically biting blend into a volatile and often apocalyptic soundscape, emulating the cycle of nature and decay; feeding on organic matter. In the flesh they bring their collective love for extreme music by immersing in catharsis -- a cleansing of sorts -- with a punishing primal energy, blanketed in blaring mid-range from the stage in their performances... an experience of being taken away by something greater than their loathed mortal coils.
always rec, tasty performances all around
even the ghosts left was a really cool song, love the postal service-sounding synths toward the end of the track. big rec

Damn, the production quality is among the best I've heard here. Groovy as hell too, love the guitar riffs and harmonies, really unique
I like your song, a little chaotic in the beginning but nice song and a good example of postpunk and noise rock.
"Fuck me up" is more consistent to my ears. A more mature sound, and your voice sounds better.
The only bad thing is that is too short. Nice music.
This far, the best song i've heard here. You handle very well the sound of psychodelic Rock and the Alternative/Grunge of the 90's. Incredible song your first one. The second one is in the same vibe, is just great, man. Love the slow tempo of the song.
I will listen all the album, but so far, you have a big, big talent.
And now, let me show all of you another piece of my songs.

>Oh! I like to play soundscapes. I imagine one instant of a song, expanded to be the size of the universe.
Why would you say that?
The video too. The combination creates an uncanny resemblence.
Video was playing around with a dead fly I found in my window. I tried to make it look somewhat like Begotten, so that may be a common insp for me and Gabe. Also I love the actor

i really like the sound of this. would definitely enjoy a longer version of it.
pretty cool, the droning leads and fuzzy bass make the track (you need out). I like the approach, raw and simple. goodstuff.

--Updates--
1. New song, Reasons Why Annie Carries a Pistol
2. Rerecorded the vocals to Cardboard People again
3. Decided to revert the intro of Outside to Inside back to its original form
4. To whoever it was that responded to me the last time I posted, I only saw it after the thread archived. I don’t have the budget or the time right now to get into a studio. I do have a friend who is a drummer so I might ask him for help at some point.

Enjoy it
Thanks for the rec always love your stuff!
Thank you! I feel like both of those genres are pretty dead. It makes it hard to find audience but I love them.
I feel like the guitar in your stuff is slightly out of the tune in the recording. Prevents the tune from being as impactful as it could be I think.
Thanks for the rec. Bright and up beat tune. Poppy and I think relatable.

The chord progression is a bit strange, there's a lot of uncertainty and weird harmonies, I love it. I think that. My favorite part is the break at 1:26, it's extremely intimate, and it slowly builds up into a piece that could potentially stand on it's own feet. If I had to describe it, I'd say it feels like a short pause in time, allowing you to look around and just gander and the beautiful harmony. I'd say, from a more technical perspective, the mixing and dynamics are a bit out of order. The elements feel like they exist in different rooms, I'd advise to just continue producing, eventually you'll get a better feel for it. However, what you can work on instantly is the vocals, they aren't convincing I believe. You need more confidence in your voice, really mean the lyrics when you sing them. I absolutely know you're capable of it, the passion is clearly there. The structure is nice I think, lots of room for varied feelings and mood, no complaints here. The sound design is baffling, some elements like the guitar, bells, drums are exactly on point. However some elements sound cheesy like the piano, strings, and harmonica. To reduce the cheesiness, add a bit of reverb, it will feel more real because instruments are usually played in rooms that have a fair bit of natural reverb. The ending is really intriguing too, I really don't think it makes sense, the tension is not resolved, there is no concluding idea, etc. Yet, I can't figure out why, but I like it, it's a sweet ending and I simply don't know why. This track was strange to begin with, so perhaps it's only fitting it ends that way. By just hearing this track I can tell you have passion, an ear for harmony & mood, and a voice of gold. I believe you're capable of way more than you decided to show off in this track, you should experiment more and most of all trust your talent.
