In all seriousness, I have mad admiration and respect for artists who insert comedy in their music. I’m talking Frank Zappa, Ween, Mr. Bungle, Phish, Primus, and others.
Even if some of their jokes are subpar, their music feels more genuine, because they are not afraid to show their funny side. They understand that they are musicians, not philosophers, they are not arrogant, have self-irony, and thus don’t take themselves too seriously. They understand that music is all in good fun.
