Arctic Monkeys are the biggest hacks of the decade. Every song sounds the same, none of it is unique in any way, and with every album it just buries rock even further into the ground.

I mean, think about this logically. If the zoomers don't want to listen to rock because it's outdated, why the fuck would you bring back an older sound? Why not innovate? Why not drive the genre forward? These fucks are going for low blows to the genre just like how The Strokes practically wiped Rock out of the mainstream with their shit.

Somewhat false. They don't make the most immediately recognizable music in the world, but none of it is necessarily generic.

All in all, their debut was OK and AM had literally two good songs on it, but they've just been falling further and further with every release. The project isn't nearly as exaggeratedly terrible as you describe, though.

Interesting chord progression, its basically Em Am but with octaves descending, catchy song

drums are FIRE, guitar and bass following the same melody, which is also pretty much the same melody sung by alex, emphasizing the drums, pretty cool and punchy track

Cool guitar riff, it plays through the whole song without boring you out(albeit they threw some bridges in there), pretty rhythmic and overall catchy track
AM gets more shit than it deserves

Do I Wanna Know and R U Mine? are the only songs on AM worth listening to. Everything else is mind-numbingly bland.
