Ok so we've heard a lot about albums that were panned at First but now are considered classics
But what about albums Who were acclaimed first and now are panned? Pic related is the only example i can think about

Everything from this decade once the social justice card wears out.
the record that killed Britpop and pissed on its grave. My favorite Oasis record for that reason. It's only behind Black Sabbath's Vol. 4 and Young Americans in how well you can hear the cocaine.
>The Gallagher brothers hold differing opinions about the album. In July 1997, Noel was describing the production as "bland" and some tracks as "fucking shit".[6] He later said: "Just because you sell lots of records, it doesn't mean to say you're any good. Look at Phil Collins."[52] In Live Forever: The Rise and Fall of Brit Pop, he dismissed the album, and blamed its faults on drugs and the band's indifference during recording. In the same documentary, Liam defended the record, and said that "at that time we thought it was fucking great, and I still think it's great. It just wasn't Morning Glory."[50] In 2006, Liam said of Noel, "If he didn't like the record that much, he shouldn't have put the fucking record out in the first place ... I don't know what's up with him but it's a top record, man, and I'm proud of it—it's just a little bit long."[53] Noel has observed that many Oasis fans still hold the album in high regard, as do prominent musicians such as Marilyn Manson.
Even /ourguy/ Noel hates it
i've never seen anything positive about pretty hate machine on this board
>implying Yea Forums opinions matters
Also i was talking about critical reaction
I have seen some positive discussion about it recently. It just got overshadowed by TDS.
>once the social justice card wears out.
Nah... Zoomers are way more and more conservative thanks to people like Pewdiepie and Ben Shapiro
If anything they Will hate Cardi B and Billie Eilish in the future BTFO everyone Who liked those
Liam is /ourguy/
>Pewdiepie
>conservative
wew lad
if you really think sjw tumblrina feminists are a fan of mumble rappers talking about pimping bitches and hoes you might actually be schizophrenic
This
The only Trap Songs they like are the ones Who have Trap beats from non mumblr rappers (SZA, Kendrick, Anderson Paak, a few Drake Songs)
Is this now a Cocaine-core thread?
the problem with PHM is that, yes, it put NIN on the map, for sure. Head Like a Hole was a banger back in the day, but what most people remember is listening to Wish / Happiness in Slavery after PHM, since, when you compare PHM to Broken, Broken just blows you away in noise, and when TDS released, it pretty much was a more organized noise, a major improvement on the noise that Broken provided. I'd also like to point out that I love both albums, but some songs on PHM are already dated, while both Broken and TDS sound just as eternal as they did back in the day.
PHM remastered thooooo
my favorite genre is coke-core
Everybody hated Be Here Now the week after it got to stores
Anyway, at least on Yea Forums, it seems that everybody is so insecure they can't like pic related now
If these are cocaine-core, what would be mephedrone-core? Crystal Castles?
This Is Hardcore is a great fucking album, We Love Life even moreso (as are For Your Pleasure and Station To Station, though I think the 2010 Harry Maslin mix of the latter was a genuine improvement on the original)
TIH is my personal 10/10 album, it doesn't get talked about much on here sadly. We Love Life is great too, they didn't ever make a truly bad album though.
I agree 2010 mix was a bit better
Yeah yeah, cocine core is based but OP make an actual funcional thread instead of some fucking shitpost that we See everytime
Can we at least fucking try to stay on topic?
Add to it then instead of killing what discussion there was. Coke-core isn't a constant topic on this board
bump
There oughta be a coke-core chart
They are both kind of right. There's a great album buried inside Be Here Now but it's lost due to many of the songs being overlong and also the overcooked production.
Yeah, it's just a shame the follow-ups were so bad. I think the next couple of albums they put out further crushed the legacy of Be Here Now
