"Pure" harsh noise acts are frequently boring because there's no dynamics, but here she creates a lush soundscape that includes bells and strummed acoustic guitar between the squalls of noise. It reminds me of landmark albums like God & Beast and Frozen Niagara Falls, except - dare I say it? - better. This is seriously good noise.

Lyrically, she makes no concessions to cis listeners - this is also what often brings down so-called "trans art" - the attempt to communicate a frequently dark experience in a palatable form to outsiders, which means rounding out the rough edges, making it a little more pop punk, as Laura Jane Grace would do. This one looks straight into the heart of darkness, offering none of the dull liberal platitudes to which our experience has often been reduced as of late.
