They're being spammed by underaged kids who are nostalgic of the late 2000s/early 2010s era of the internet but are at the same time too embarrassed of it, so instead of earnestly talking about their nostalgia they just hide it behind several layers of irony and spam it everywhere, forcing everyone to see it, pretending it's a meme or, in the case of the rage spam, that there's some ulterior motive behind it.
They're not gonna stop. If we had decent mods they could delete the threads as they came, but we don't even have mods in the first place.
