Are they not men?

It's just the Talking Heads except bad

Really good, even if their new albums are poopy. Oh No is really underrated in particular, it might be my favorite album by them.

They are devo

They were before the Talking Heads, though. Anyone who things new wave originated in New York doesn't know what they're talking about.

and they're also better than the talking heads lol

They just sound like the Talking Heads except not good

You're just fooled by the fact that they released their debut first

What a retarded comment

Factual you mean

youtube.com/watch?v=LhL8Sl3dWl8

As factual as the earth being flat

they are both great and have their own sound. fuck off with your fandom war shit

could of been one of the greatest.

Talking Heads could never write a song as good as Gut Feeling

Talking Heads' first album was September 77. Devo's first album was July 78.

>Devo
Formed 1972 Kent, Ohio
First single: 1977
>Talking Heads
Formed 1975 New York, New York
First single: also 1977

And Devo released a short film in 1976 (with the music from that film being from 1974-75)

Yeah they were making music since the beginning. They just never released much until 1977, because they were kind of a fringe act up until that point. They opened for fucking Sun Ra of all people. Nothing would have come out of them had Eno and Bowie not picked them up in the late 70's.

New Traditionalists is the best album, hands down

I enjoy their debut album

It's crazy that they made at least 4-5 albums worth of material in the mid-70s and didn't release any of this stuff properly until the 90s. I guess they held it all back because they knew they couldn't troll audiences if anyone knew who they were.

easy 7/10 band, every album worth at least one listen.

They were dorks in the 80s and they're old dorks now.

Changed my life to be honest. Can't believe such an amazing album came out a decade before I was born (parents are metal-heads so they get a pass)

they're entirely different bands playing different genres.
Not a very good comparison
