You can't force people to like an artist, you can only promote them as much as you can and hope it catches on. Being an industry plant isn't an automatic ticket to success, there is still a lot of luck involved.

i know i'm being harsh but in all honesty i doubt someone with aspergers could perform at shows the way she does. then again maybe you're right. knowing that she was home schooled and now discovering that her parents are well connected in the entertainment biz leads me to believe that her parents glossed over important basic skills that most people learn and gave her the direct pipeline into entertainment where being an air head doesn't matter so much. she seems like a cash cow for the family to me, especially with the way her brother mentioned their father's work as being unmentionable but worth it because it put food on the table.

I did theatre in high school and was quite good at it.

homeschooled kids tend to lack a lot of social skills. i grew up in an area where there were a lot of mormons and evangelicals simultaneously who homeschooled. when i went to college i noticed many of these kids never really caught on with things like social ques, how to maintain a group of friends, etc. because they had only been around adults and other homeschooled kids growing up. it's like they might as well be autistic.

It could be both. I was able to overcome my autistic symptoms through socializing with other kids. The worst thing you can do to an autistic kid, even one mildly on the spectrum like myself, is keep them apart from society since they'll never learn proper social skills.
