What's the worst your taste in music has ever been? It's okay, we're all anonymous here.
I used to unironically enjoy Yung Lean.

I liked Brokencyde as a scene kid in the early 2000s.
Looking back, I think I might have been ten years ahead of the curve, since rappers are incorporating really shitty screaming and edgy emo lyrics into trap now.
Me rn
Probably my Yea Forumscore phase
i used to listen to this
youtu.be
yung lean the meme is cringe but the actual man himself still makes interesting and good music obviously feels the same way about yung lean as we all do
brokencyde predicted the future
I liked Kid Rock for about a year.
This used to be my favorite album ever
I used to like Swans
Used to listen to videogame soundtracks
What games? Some games have genuinely good soundtracks.
I used to only listen to youtube rips of UKF dubstep and drum and bass
listened exclusively to Linkin Park and melodic death metal when I was like 12
I used to listen to britpop exclusivly untill my friends showed me the way
I went through that wigger rap phase because of eminem
Also Nightcore remixes. Only listen to it when i'm with friends from that time but only ironically
I used to listen to ween. But after i got more educated i realized how homophobic they were and i had to stop supporting nazis......yikes y'all
when I hated Tay
Nothing wrong with that. I listen to Jet Set Radio OST all the time.
When all I listened to was Weezer.
Now I only like their blue album.
Wtf this is based
Tokyo hotel
Eminem... even Relapse...
Slipknot and video game parody rap
What the fuck are you talking shit on leandoer for?
I used to listen to nothing but dubstep
>he doesn't like White or Hurley
Honestly never, I've always liked music for the right reasons" genuinely enjoying the music
I was a Juggalo for a few years and still bump ICP, great shit
In high school I transitioned from listening exclusively to Christian rock to numetal via P.O.D. and Skillet.
So, the answer to OP's question is your whole life?
High school was almost 10 years ago for me, zoomer.
What do you listen to now then
my high school experience was Beatles and Eminem, with game soundtracks
yes i'm a zoomer
When I listened to the person reading this posts favourite music
I don't listen to music that much anymore. Mostly math rock and 90s and 00s indie shit.
when I got into your basic radio rock/metal, but those genres and trying to find harder or more darker metal got me into black and death metal and eventually I made my way to other non metal genres. and not liking any music that isn't guitar based stunted my growth, but thankfully that was a short period of time in like 2004.
The Beatles
Why are you on this board?
>but those genres and trying to find harder or more darker metal got me into black and death metal
Time to take the final step to Doom metal and dark ambient.

>early 2000s
Although for what it's worth I remember downloading Sikth's How May I Help You thanks to the meme video back in 2003 and they had a lot of that stuff down
Sonic Adventure 2
bro you just posted cringe!
>GOT PLACES TO GO
>GOTTA FOLLOW MY RAINBOW
Yeah, that's pretty awful. How old were you at the time?
because i'm bored and just dl shit off slsk for fun I'll take you up on it when I get a chance. not a metal guy anymore but I come back once in a while to it. thank you
I was very much into Manu Chao and other mestizo music when I was 14 for some reason. I'm white, from western europe and had never even seen a latino irl. I just liked the feeling.
I thought the only real music was metal
when i used to listen to a lot of shit indie rock
White is okay. I never liked Hurley, but I will admit it's my least listened to one and I haven't listen to it in about 2 years. So my opinion on it might have changed.
people who post on Yea Forums don't listen to music
like 7 so i think its excusable
Nostalgia and shitposting. Plus I like to see if there's anything new and interesting going on in the music scene.
Being a Cinema Strange fan was a waste of my life.
early 2010s dubstep
I used to like Styx
I've always been an Eminem fan
I've felt embarrassed about it multiple times since his output has been inconsistent throughout the years, but I'm still happy to support him til the current day
this
I was a huge ac/dc fan in my early teens. It's actually a real shame that so many Yea Forums folk are so quick to stick their noses in the air at dadrock; Back In Black and Powerage are fucking razor-sharp hard rock albums.
I remember telling a girl in high school that Pink Floyd’s DSotM could make me cry. It’s a wonder what I ever say in that shitfest of an album. Makes me sad to see ppl on this board still love it so much, in the same immature and juvenile phase I was. It’s very much an album I grew out of.
Oh, I also remember around the same time putting on Eminem at a party cause he was the only rap I knew and I knew kids my age supposedly liked rap. God grade 10 was a rough time for my music taste. It wasn’t till I heard surfer Rosa a few months later that I think my tastes started on the path of getting good.
Used to listen almost exclusively to Monstercat podcasts, and used to flex that I listened to the Chainsmokers "before they were cool," as if electronic based pop was the peak of music. I used to act self superior because I didn't listen to radio pop.
Then one day, this girl asked me what type of music I listened to, and I said indie, foolishly thinking that's what shitty electronic pop was. She replied with "oh, so stuff like radiohead?" I had to agree and started listening to them so I could keep up the facade and make her like me.
same man, I was 18 when I was in that phase too lol
I still listen to SA2, SA and Sonic Heroes soundtracks regularly. Although now I don't like the Crush 40 rock driven tracks and gravitate toward the more subdued tracks like Rouge/Knuckles levels. some lit shit there senpai no lie
I was pretty big into nu-metal during it's peak from 1997 - 2000. Some bands I realized sucked back then (Disturbed, Papa Roach) but some tricked 14 year old me (Korn). I didn't have an older sibling to help me out so it was trial and error. Luckily At the Drive-In released Relationship of Command on my 16th birthday and one track had Iggy Pop on it. Then I started a deep dive into better music.
listening to cringey pop emo music made for adolescents in my adolescence
preferring rock music over other genres for a couple years left a permanent blotch in my memory and wasted a lot of time, also pretending to like Yea Forumscore and rymcore.
gone full circle now and can't stop listening to the music i loved in middle school again! it feels gud
I asked for coldplay tickets for my birthday. X&Y tour
My taste now, years back it used to be pretty varied. Now it's just pop punk, hardcore, metal, and pop. :/
I used to listen to that jerking music from the late '00s
Any songs you might want to share from him?
Insane clown posse, smash mouth and cookie monsta
i liked badlands by halsey when a friend reccomended it, looked her up and instant regret set in
The period when I limited my music taste to 2000s dubstep. And it had to be released on DMZ or it was garbage. I still love dubstep but with time I learned to appreciate other music genres.
Leanworld is good
When I was into Good Charlotte, but that at least got me into Silverchair, who were a 10/10 band until Young Modern happened
third eye blind
ive gone through a heavy post-metal and screamo phase which isnt very good by itself. but then i wanted to try something new and i started listening to bones(and his side project which is like acoustic sad boy rap) joji, earl, travis scott, xxxtentacion and enter shikari.
oh and nu metal but i was 12
I used to unironically listen to the Carpenters and Debby Boone because their songs appeared in classic Simpsons episodes. The first eight seasons of The Simpsons got me into music.
I used to only listen to one band when I was starting out in music, and it was AC/DC
I used to love Red Hot Chili Peppers and I cringe at the thought of that now
WHY DO BIRDS SUDDENLY APPEAR
EVERY TIME YOU ARE NEAR
Yeah. That’s exactly what I’m talking about.
My pop and rap phase
I liked the first Imagine dragons EP for a bit. Still think it's not that bad
I used to be really into Three Days Grace and actually bought all their first 4 albums, I thought I was really cool for liking them and considered myself an outsider, they were literallly all I would listen to and no other music
i mean, they are pretty great musicians. frusciante did his best to minimize the trash
Yung lean is alright, his music aint so bad at all.
I remember subscribing to all their subchannels lol
This. I had an embarrassing Eminem phase like and and I totally stopped listening to him 2015-2018 because of the discomfit caused by it; but kamikaze had something in it that pulled me back into his music and just accepting my past
I feel that, in a way it's like my taste peaked 5 years ago when I was 20 listening to all kinds of experimental shit, trying to hear new sounds and perspectives. Now it's like 75% riff worshipping black and death metal, I don't even know what happened
I unironically thought U2 was the greatest band of all time.
Fuck you, Cinema Strange is a good band.
freaxx is unironically a masterpiece
Based
man all my cringiest favs are way less cringey than the ones listed here, hahaha, wow guys, really bad taste hahah... *siiiigh* my sides hurt
For a year or so when I was 14-15 I listened to a ton of nu-metal
Only listened to mainstream rap
Fuck off, was raised with bread and Beatles, then stopped listening to them, went into hard rock and metal and now I'm my 20 I'm back at square one with my fab boys and classic dad rock. Never been happier with my music tatse
My taste in middle/high school was extremely autistic
>Touhou music
>Steely Dan
>Journey
>acid trance e.g. Infected Mushroom
>classical e.g. Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky
>Balkan folk pop despite the fact that I'm not from there
>edgy Vocaloid songs
>Iron Maiden
Honestly I'm just surprised I hadn't discovered prog yet back then.
I used to listen to U2 a lot
OK faggot
I used to like Rush
dadrock/buttrock/prog/grunge (14)
woke hip hop (18)
Yea Forumscore and gangsta rap (20)
When I was like 11 or 12 I really liked The Vines, The Strokes, The Hives, etc.
No regrets though cause that's what got me into music and my taste would be far less developed with them. Not like there's anything terribly offensive about them either, it's just lackluster and boring in retrospect.
I listened to Sum-41, Linkin Park and Eminem a ton in middle school.
Also I still listen to Periphery's first album (instrumental version)
I bought this fucking garbage on iTunes for a 2nd gen iPod Touch, life is strange man.
What am I missing with Weezer? I heard the blue album and Pinkerton, but the only song I liked was Pink Triangle
Nothing wrong with that as such its just weird
this but unironically
for the last 6 months i have only listened to sadsack cowboy singer-songwriters or those "Cleanse Your Mind And Attract Abundant Wealth (690HZ Binaural Beats)" tier trash.
Went through an edgy electronic goth phase. Listened to a lot of Razed in Black, NeuroticFish, Funker Vogt, Velvet Acid Christ and other such crap.
I used to listen to whatever showed up on the billboard because I didn’t know where else to look for music
listening to shit indie like razorlight and the rakes
big oof
i almost forgot about this phase of me
i used to listen to dutch sandnigger rap, fuck that makes me cringe everytime i think of it.
also other shitty dutch rap.
some dutch sandnigger rap i liked:
youtube.com
The only music I ever liked but now don't is Nirvana.
Nirvana was once my favorite band
I see, Satan. They were never my favorite band, but I bought and listened to their albums and just thought they were kinda okay. The more I learned about the band though the more I just found them to be monumental douchebags and it spoiled whatever little appreciation I had for their music for me.
Used to like this kind of shit
youtu.be
and sometimes I still sing those songs
Sure, but I doubt it'll change anyone's mind about him. I'd recommend Miami Ultras, Agony or Red Bottom Sky.
These guys. Got into them in 1975, saw them 3 times, and never abandoned them. Have their entire catalog. They are "The Great Secret" in the world of rock. A band packaged as lightweight, worthless bubblegum who actually had a lot more than that to give. And they are that rarest of bands in that as they went on, their albums just kept getting better and better.
So, why call my own taste in them my "worst taste"? Only because that's the way the world looks at it. I'm perfectly happy enjoying their music.
Bad post.
>I actually still like them and don't think liking them is an indicator of poor taste
>I am a victim because the world doesn't approve
Try again, you literal baby boomer.
Bay City Boomers are bad, boomer. Even the Archies are better.
Ghosttown
meant for
i imagine by now it's beyond autistic
