Why did the Zoomers turn around so hard on Nirvana?
Hudson Bell
Luke Lewis
Because we value talent more than marketing hype.
Angel Hernandez
They didn't. Stop pretending this board is connected to reality.
Ryder Mitchell
What are you on? I agree that less zoomers are into them compared to millennials, but they are still beloved by the majority of them, and those who are not into the band just don't care. I've only seen zoomers hate on them in more niche music circles, and keep in mind that those are minorities
Daniel Moore
>Those are minorities
Liam Perry
i'm a zoomer
Eli Butler
Not true by the way
Adam King
Sure, buddy.
Leo Brown
zoomer are not real you fucking retard
Elijah Cox
Ahaha, yep, even when fucking Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift dominate the charts, right?
Isaac Thomas
Do what?
Lincoln Adams
Because Nirvana is ass and their only contribution to music is showing people that you can make millions off of “underground” music
Gavin Taylor
Kurt was a bit of a fag still made sum good tunes
Ryan Jenkins
Why can't people just appreciate Nirvana for what they are which is grunge pop? It's like people think that shitting on popular music makes them instantly more interesting of a person
Ryan Walker
>turn around
i see what u did there
Ian Martinez
you dont need to use commas and periods
Brandon Mitchell
Im 32 and even in their heydey and the ensuing "omg rip kurt :((((((((" era that immediately followed, I never thought of them as even close to being in the top 50 bands of the 90s.
They were ok at best. Just ok.
Noah Scott
>grunge pop
God damn I fucking hate the internet
Zachary Lewis
we like real buttrock aesthetics not boomer dadrockers larping as buttrockers
Camden Wright
Why did the Zoomers turn around so hard on acid house?
Nathan Clark
zoomers arent taylors audience
Chase Wilson
>their heyday
You were seven when Kurt died stop larping
Jackson Nguyen
Sure I do. You have no idea how much confusion can be caused be bad punctuation when communicating online.
Alexander Turner
>You were seven when Kurt died
their target audience
Jonathan Stewart
>listening to 30 year old alt rock bands
there's way better music today
Asher Lopez
no one from any generation actually liked them
Benjamin Watson
> It's like people think that shitting on popular music makes them instantly more interesting of a person
That's what teenagers always think, which is probably why people think Zoomers turned around on Nirvana. When really they're just stupid kids trying to look cool and interesting because of the music they don't like.
Ethan Sanders
why be complicite in perpetuating capitalism and shitty music and not critique it?
Daniel Evans
Yeah, no one was born after 2000, it's all an illusion.
Hudson Gray
People have always done that though. It's not like gen z invented contrarianism. Gen x and millennials are legendary contrarians, and ten seconds in the comments section of any boomer music video will give you enough "back when rock and roll was good not this Justin Bieber Brittney Spears music on the radio" comments to last a lifetime
Jace White
Because rappers stole their gimmick.
Carter Morales
I'm not even the OP of this but holy shit you're an idiot. Obvious bait is obvious.
Cameron Ortiz
this
Jackson Morales
well how would you define it you pedantic cunt
acid house kinda sucked desu, its a bit mellow in hindsight
Brody James
Because Nevermind is a good album when you remove all the filler and only listen to the hits. That's the definition of a pop album. Bleach is't terrible or anything, but it's the epitome of contrarian bait. If you want to listen to hardcore punk, grunge or sludge, listen to the Melvins or some other band. I'm sure a lot of people legitimately like Bleach more than Nevermind (I did for a long time), but I feel like even that is just contrarian stockholm syndrome: forcing yourself to listen to sub-par music until it becomes part of your identity
Andrew Moore
Every zoomer I know worships at the altar of Cobain. It could be that Yea Forums is just full of contrarian fucks.
Joshua Cook
That's the funniest joke I've heard all day. And I've been watching Richard Pryor specials.
Leo Brooks
only good post itt
Benjamin Gutierrez
I don't agree that Nevermind is one of the greatest records ever made. That's just sickening hyperbole. For my money, In Utero is the far superior effort. The truth is that Nevermind is a solid collection of pop punk songs with excellent production values that captured an angsty generation at precisely the right moment. It's remembered much more for its cultural impact than for the actual music.
Nathaniel Hill
this but unironically
Cameron Harris
Nirvana is great
People here suck the dick of 90s nosie rock which was basically just Nirvana with horrible singers and less melodically talented songwriters
Samuel Thompson
Nirvana is the most mainstream grunge band
