Ugly art was a step back after BIYAAHEYSF imo. I'm glad they incorporated live drums more but it doesn't have the insane cathartic aggression of Because... or the trancey groove of WLFGRL (only two other albums I've listened to). Plus I get it's part of the aesthetic but some of the lyrics are a bit painful to listen to

Actually step back isn't the right term, it's a step forward but not in a direction I enjoyed. Good live band though, I purged demons from my body when they played in Nola
