why, I have a bunch of folders that denote broad genres or trends that I like. so I have a general metal folder for crossover or vague genres, but stuff that's definitely death metal like cryptopsy I have in a dm folder, and stuff that's definitely black metal like emperor goes in a black metal folder. for shit like alt rock or grunge or nu metal, I put it in my decade folder since those genres make me think of those time periods more than genres at large. I've tried basically every other way of organizing music and none of them work as well for me. the advantage is I can spin up any playlist I want regardless of music player by selecting multiple folders at once. I prefer winamp

But at the same time, I think it is futile to ape works that were conceived in the midst of a culture now three decades past. Acknowledging the classics is great, but the classics are done. And when it comes to UG it's all about the over the top insane vocals and the raw filthy sound.
Even though UG totally ripped off Agathocles, they made their grind very unique and there is no other band that sound like Unholy Grave out there.
