What is Yea Forumss opinion on Beta Band? My dad was bassist for the band from after Champion Versions until 04 when they disbanded. Interested to see what you guys think of the band and feel free to ask me anything about it if you want.

the ep's aren't so bad, but they're name being beta band is spot on, very safe sound
featured on a bit on high fidelity so that's a bonus
love them.
first heard them when they performed on jools holland during the time they released their last album then was gutted when they split not long afterwards
hot shots II and heroes to zeros aren't bad either
>their last album
legit great power pop
yeah it's a shame they split... 'creative differences' have made a reunion tricky. Maybe one day..
Hot shots II was probably the more safe choice of all of them, but apart from that they were pretty experimental
they were very nice, had some comfy tracks for sure
heard they were fucked up financially as well by the time they split
It's true. the label was screwing them over pretty majorly and only recently has the band been able to start shifting over to a much better deal.
the label left them with over 1 million in debt and ultimately led to them splitting. they're working on getting their catalogue on a much better deal
That ep in your pic is great
Yep, would hear my dad playing the three E.Ps especially all the time as a kid, is certainly my fave.

where does the time go...
is your dad still involved with music?
yeah. He's still making pieces here and there.
Has put 4 tracks on soundcloud at soundcloud.com
Still has an alternative rock vibe to it. it's pretty nice. He may upload some more, he's always experimenting and they sound pretty good so far.

The first album is a classic.
my therapist showed them to me and dogs got a bone has been one of my favorite songs for a long time
What an awful fucking album cover. Absolute shite
remember to post it in a shit album cover thread for next time
Good band desu
High Fidelity made me discover this band. Dry the Rain will always have a special place in my heart. When it comes to writing and emotion, it's a masterpiece. Their music is moving and subtle, it seems like every sound is in its right place.
Needles in My Eyes is one of the finest songs of the 90s.
she's the one and inner meet me are god-tier
They seem good. I have only really sticked my teeth deep into 3 EPS, which I really like. "It's Over" is my favorite track
What has your pops said about Godrich? One of my fav producers of all time and the three EP’s are absolutely fantastic
