THE PATRICIAN GUIDE TO 2010’S HIP-HOP/RAP/TRAP
It's hard to give recs on Yea Forums when you don't like ambiance or noise rock.
>no bladee
>no black kray
>no thouxanbanfauni
>no warhol ss
>no uno the actavist
>no chxpo
>no lucki
>no lil peep or any gbc
whoever made this chart was really scraping at the bottom of the barrel. fucking smokepurrp? really? as shit as this chart is, there's still no ugly mane in sight
Bully me
That's some nice gusic in the bottom left.
>patrician
>hip hop/rap/trap
Sorry, I was being retarded
a godspeed album is in your chart, so i don't think i can
But its not even the best album by them
I don't have a chart, but I must ask, are there any industrial groups/musicians/etc that have made anything that's like, cute quirky female vocals, like babymetal but for industrial rock/techno/metal/etc?
lingua ignota
fuck off boomer no one wants you here
probably because all the rappers you named other than black kray and lil peep are garbage and peep never made a good project
Are you triggered that no one likes your pathetic guitar "music" anymore grandpa?
Not familiar with most of those albums.
Jim O'Rourke - Bad Timing
Exceptional taste.
Eliane Radigue - Adnos II
I like powerviolence as well. Check out the crossed out discography if you haven't.
Your taste kind of reminds me of mine from another time.
Cerberus Shoal - The Real Ding
I love the emo on your chart. You should obviously check out The Brave Little Abacus if you haven't, and some post-hardcore bands like Unwound and Lowercase.
Keep on listening to music.
Natural Snow Buildings - The Dance of the Moon and the Sun
>It's hard to give recs on Yea Forums when you don't like ambiance or noise rock.
Story of my life
Climax Blues Band - Sense of Direction
J.J. Cale - Shades
Big Black - Songs about Fucking
Coil - The Ape of Naples
Miles Davis - Nefertiti
You might like orchid
I call my chart: Jewish-outcast core
Literally the only two good things you mentioned were Bladee and ugly mane.
21st century recs only plz.
There's a lot of colorful groovy stuff on here that's very cool. Have you ever considered checking out house music? Not necessarily the edm blasting on the radio, but like say...Peggy Gou's Once and Moment EPs which are focus on colorful layered arrangements+groove?
That Crossed Out record is scathing as fuck. You ever tried out more raw sludgy stuff? Something more metallic like Noothgrush's Erode The Person or perhaps something more noise rock like Unsane's Scattered, Smothered & Covered.
Not my kinda jams, but still cool I guess. A friend was jamming some band called Cloud Nothings the other day, sad boy lyrics and catchy melodies. Maybe your kinda thing?
Lol I never post here as well when I am in the mood for something more /bleep/-like. The board certainly is more familiar some types of music over others.
Graveyard - Hisingen Blues
Medusa - First Step Beyond
Keep being you and enjoy what you do! Check out some more recent catchy poppy punk like:
Jeff Rosenstock - Worry
White Lung - Paradise
the most based chart in this thread
*brap*
heurco s - 4 club use only
Good Horsey - Kazoo
Gentle Despite - Bittersweet Kiss
Benjamin Lew
Do you like '70s fusion like Pat Metheny?
Kurt Rosenwinkel - Caipi
Human Feel - Welcome to Malpesta
I've liked some electronic music in the past, but it's usually not maturity or grounded enough to keep me engaged. For example, I really liked Boards of Canada, but I'd only listen to them studying, not out of leisure.
and i oop
I'm just gonna shill this album to you because i'd think you'd like it.
respell it so I can look it up
Shohei Amimori - Sonasile
Not by Huerco S. that brap fucked you up bro.
Thanks for the recs. It kinda depends on the track, but my fusion preferences are ones that are more..."composed" it's why I prefer In A Silent Way to Bitches Brew for example.
Boards have a more sparse, ambient aesthetic. Peggy has a more layered, sometimes polyrhythmic aesthetic while still having a focus on danceable grooves, and that's what I had in mind.
It's a track by Delroy Edwards not Huerco S.
tf is all this shit
I'm listening to it. It's similar to Todd Terje. I really like his It's Album Time for a spell, but it became annoying through overexposure
Tell Me About the Long Dark Path Home by The Newfound Interest in Connecticut
Check out Gastr De Sol, anything is nice

give me a minute to give recs
Hey, Zounds guy here. All these punk recs are great, but can you recommend me a specific album you think is great?
man this thread blows
i recommend not identifying as a jewish outcast because there's nothing particular outcastish as this list of classic alternative + rock + jazz records. there's stuff out there beyond what you read about in music media.
algernon cadwallader, the d plan, autoclave
archers of loaf
damn this sucks in a very unexpressable way
top tier taste, i saved your chart
Just one album overall or albums from each of those bands?
>This thread blows
>Lazily posts "DUDE so OBSCURE" chart without album names or recs
Fuck yourself.

you first
>there's nothing particular outcastish as this list of classic alternative + rock + jazz records
I'm an outcast on Yea Forums because everybody likes emo, gay shit, and pop bullshit. I'm an outcast in real life (with regard to music) because everybody likes "the new big thing" and butt-rock. I'm a music outcast because I tend towards accessible classics versus dark alternative music and "the next big thing." Yea Forumstants aren't outcasts in the context of Yea Forumstants. Normies aren't outcasts in the context of everybody. I'm an outcast everywhere and it's both tiring and very nice.
Album overall
Disclosure: I don't like The Jam's sound
That's dumb as shit considering most of the classics on your chart are very well received here and on the rest of the music internet. You also aren't an outcast because of your music taste unless you're some immature kid still in grade school where that shit mattered.
I'd say "Pastor Skull - Blyth Power". Same singer/drummer from Zounds.
wilco - being there
goodie mob - soul food
soundgarden - badmotorfinger
It's precisely the mandanity of these critically acclaimed classics which makes me a musical outcast
forgot mine
Recs plsss

The Clientele- Suburban Light
yo La Tengo- And Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out
Negativland- Helter Stupid
Yellow Magic Orchestra- Solid State Survivor
Morphine- Good
way too much travis scott and yet no astroworld. I like the bones and future inclusions tho. Idk about any recomendations but maybe rico nasty and vince staples, and I'm guessing you don't like brockhampton?
For the amount of time I've spent on here I probably should have already made one of these but never bothered, missing a lot of shit but this is what I came up with just now
Rowland S Howard - Teenage Snuff Films
Hierophants - Spitting Out Moonlight
Half Man Half Biscuit - Back In the DHSS
The KVB - Minus One
Rudimentary Peni - EPs of RP
Gareth Liddiard - Strange Tourist
Fergus & Geronimo - Funky Was the State of Affairs
bump
recs pls :)
Please recommend me sludge, stoner metal, really distorted shit, OR shit like Machine Girl, 1000gecs, early Born Gold etc
I NEVER see Arca - Coming to Terms outside of my chart, so, congrats you made a stranger on the internet smile. I also love the album RAMONA and that Yo La Tengo album too, great chart overall. Have you heart Harold Budd collab w/ the Cocteau Twins, called The Moon and the Melodies? It's gorgeous.
I feel like you'd really like Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, if you like really fuzzed out riffs and shit. Also, the Chameleons - Script of the Bridge might be an album you'd like, its goth rock with lots of reverb and chorus and its catchy as hell
I dont know if i saw it or not in your chart, but I think you'd like Judee Sill a lot.
Only put rap albums on here cause I REALLY need some new rappers and hip-hop albums to listen to, from any era
(btw I don't listen to Drake or Gambino anymore I just put those albums on there because I still like the sound of them)
okayokayokay i was updating an old chart and forgot a few
THIS is my chart
Fuck I forgot the picture
no danny brown or vince staples? you might like them if you havent listened yet
>vince staples
Good idea, I should listen to him more. I'm only familiar with Summertime 06 and Big Fish Theory.
>danny brown
I've been trying to get into him for years, I think its just not for me.
thats fair. those two plus Earl are my fav modern/younger rappers, but im not a super avid hip hop fan so idk. Earl's newest album is really worth a listen if you haven't yet.
oh shit forgot Script of the Bridge in my chart, yeah I like it a lot, I've listened to Mind Crawler by Uncle Acid, pretty good album
updated now with added colour coordination
*Mind Control I mean, Mind Crawler was one of the songs
rate me pls
>Earl's newest album is really worth a listen if you haven't yet
I have, and love it. Just didn't put it on the chart because I didn't want people recommending shit like MIKE and other "lofi rap" bullshit like that.
denzel curry- ta13oo
run the jewels- run the jewels 2
veteran- jpegmafia
I bump Vince, especially FM
im glad u like both of the bands i reccomended! nice color coordination, too.
Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World
Open Mike Eagle - Brick Body Kids Still Daydream
Young Nudy & Pierre Bourne - Sli'merre
Really not a fan of Denzel Curry, he's just generic trap to me, I don't see the appeal. Ultimate was a fun meme track.
>Run the Jewels
I dislike Killer Mike and I immediately dismissed RTJ as being "hip-hop for people who hate hip-hop" but I never really gave them a fair chance, I can try again.
>Veteran - JPEGMAFIA
Maybe third times the charm?
Thank you.
I will check it out, thx
