What is this and why is everyone cumming over it?

a board where you create your cum tributes

idk, dont remember

it's an album I think

its a great ambient album, sit the fuck down, close your eyes and enjoy

AOTY

can't be bothered to image search what is it?

you haven't listened to the other 5 installments leading up to this to get it.

this is b8

Not him but how is it bait? Surely listening to the rest of the series first would make sense?

no it's not, but I guess you would say that if you're a person that only likes singles. I love to listen to whole albums and concept albums like the caretaker's were especially great.. just the waiting for each installment alone and the anticipation made it a worthwhile experience. forgetting all that I will even listen to an album to get to a song I really like (most times). call it autism but that's just me

Can I just skip to the last part? I have been gone through parts 1 and 2. Really not a fan of old pop jazz dance room music with raw vinyl crackles. Like, I got it the first few times, hell I got it back when he did on An Empty Bliss. This just feels like padding and I wanna get to the cool stuff.

The cool stuff won't be cool if you don't experience the entire thing.

Not OP, but
Why do I need to hear the other parts to get it? What do I have to get? Serious question. I'm hearing this album and in in the half part, and I liked it a lot, do I need to hear the other parts?

What are the “other five installments?” What is this named?

It's called Everywhere at the end of time, and the tracks are split into 6 "stages".
If you're listening to the very long collected version on Bandcamp with like all 50 tracks, you're good. If you're just listening to a 4 track album with very long 20 minute tracks you need to go back

some ambient piece of a turd album

>he doesn't have a cum target range
what do you do with your cums?

Dumb fuck

listening to albums individually instead of some autismal 10+ hour experience does not imply that one only likes singles. Any album ought stand on its own merits instead of another.

god damn you children are dumb

It's part of a series. That is like saying you should be able to enjoy the last chapter of a book if you haven't read the other fourty-nine leading up to it.

Nope, albums are the defacto mode of expression in music for the past 50 years, not "series of albums."

Lmao what? LPs only existed due to technological and business reasons. Fuck outta here with this.

yes, that doesn't disprove my point, the LP is still the dominant mode of music, not compilations. There's no reason to require someone to listen to the previous albums in an artists discography in order to "get" this one other than as some history lesson.

Fucking fuck plebbit

go watch the 6th movie in a series and tell me it stands on its own

You’re not gonna win this argument cause you’re fighting a drooling retard.

we're not discussing movies, we're talking about music, completely different mediums.

Just because you lack an attention span doesn’t mean series of works aren’t meant to be understand together, as the artist has clearly described multiple fucking times with this series

the only retard here is the one thinking that music is directly comparable to books and films.

Now as for my own opinion. If a song is able to listened to on its own, then it's able to be listened to on its own. Give me one reason you actually understand the album better having listened to the previous stuff without saying that's the way the "artist wanted it". I don't give a shit what the artist wants, sounds to me like he's being a pretentious faggot

not an argument, your delusion in assigning any value to a piece of music being understood as a "series" is only unique to you, no serious review of the album is going to hinge upon understanding the rest, it's going to be judged on its own, like any other media. Idiot.

Where can we deport this pleb to?

>lmao I don't have a response
>ill just call him a pleb instead, that'll show him

Your relentless stubbornness and outright stupidity does not warrant a response.

you have to be at least 18 to post here.

>outright stupidity
>meanwhile watch me directly compare music to movies and films thinking they are correctly analogous to eachother

>relentless stubbornness
in what? I'm a different guy

Skylarking

>watch sixth movie in series without watching earlier ones
>"why did john kill jim? That doesn't make any sense without me having prior knowledge of john's motives which I would have gotten if I had watched the previous films"

>listen to sixth album in a series of albums without listening to earlier ones
>"hey this is pretty good music"

I haven't heard the whole thing yet, but I really like it.

It totally does as what was also concurrently most popular besides LPs were radio which played singles. Now that music exists in files of individual tracks, we see that people gravitate towards singles.

I do not at all disagree with your later part, but your overt worship of an overrated older format that has no inherent artistic value to it is no different from your arguer's worship of a requirement to listen to works a listener doesn't want to just for the sake of a similarly arbitrary "artistic vision" set up by the artist.

dumbass

one of the most interesting concept albums of the decade. I wasn't aware of it until the 6th installment dropped, so I set some time aside to listen to all 6 sequentially. the only real issue I have is that going from the 3rd album to the 4th is pretty jarring. but otherwise, an incredible series of albums.
also @ the ppl arguing about series of albums vs standalone albums, I would say that 4 through 6 stand alone pretty well, while the material on 1 through 3 lend itself to listening as one whole experience.
