its really not related to free jazz. being abrasive and disjointed is not the same as free jazz where the performers are usually extremely talented and competent on instruments. this is faux naive in a way id only maybe compare to sun ra's atlantis (which was not abrasive just childlike simplistic and naive) or tori kudo who was makign stuff like that way before royal trux existed.
