SHIETTTTTTTTTTTTTT

The Blacker the Berry is kino desu

yeah i also love circlejerking about race over wanky instrumentals for an hour and 19 minutes

Absolutely amazing album. Could have been trimmed a bit here and there, sort of like a great novel with sections that are sort of filler. The part at the end where he has a conversation with Tupac Shakur about people rising up and literally eating the wealthy elite is kind of weird. It could have ended with track 14 and been an A+ perfect album, but I guess he felt strongly about the last two tracks. I think the Pulitzer was more for this one than the follow-up.

I don't give give a fuck aboutno politics in rap my nigga

it's a really good album. maybe perfect.

evidence: makes young, white manchildren get deep in their feelings

but seriously, being able to so seemlessly balance so many previous and contemporary styles of black music without it being gimmecky, all while keeping it so conceptually focused is an impressive feat.

I love albums like this that show how one can start as 'just a rapper,' but evolve to be a director of a very involved artistic undertaking, managing so many extremely skilled musicians (thundercat, flylo, all the features, bilal, etc.) to execute your vision.

Definitely one of the defining albums of the start of the century.

I don't even get why these /pol/ idiots get so mad. But then again I don't speak racist....

Are you implying that he should have cut tracks that aren't You Ain't Gotta Lie and instead should have ended the whole album with that mediocre song?

this exactly

It's not a bad song, and it feels like a "last song." The song after it is too happy sounding and doesn't really fit the tone of the album IMO, and that last track really takes it all into "too long" territory... just one listener's opinion tho.

weak bait, too obvious you're trying to act like you don't belong here. lay off the redding spacing next time

In the same way that Songs In The Key of Life is just circlejerking about Life....yeah..

you should just audit an african american studies class at your community college.

you might get some interesting perspective, bb.

reddit spacing

reddit spacing is a shit meme, some people just type like that

>when someone actually talks about the music and isn't a racist it must be bait.

maybe this place was always shit and i've just matured. i honestly can't tell.

i agree with your post man. It's just a groupthink to alternative ideas keep the facade of uninfluenced opinions. It's one of the best albums of the decade

BOOBOO

yikes
imagine calling tpab beautiful and complex, babbys first jazz samples. you sound like a trumper

his second worst album after damn
6/10

...

overrated but still pretty good

unironcally the greatest album this decade

It’s shit

Who let you out without your bicycle helmet?

It's good
But GKMC is better.

best rap album ever. not saying too much because its rap

Mmmmmmnm ahhh fuck
Very good goyim

Extremely good but I think a bit overrated

ooga booga bix nood we was kangz

fuck off tourist

Still AOTY
I haven't heard a single record as mind-blowing like Tpab. He basically climbed to hip hop charts with a jazz album.
Also the message he is trying to convey is just so relevant. Pacifism, no violence anymore, basically what Jebus preached.
That live version of u (?) where he diffused a aggressive situation in the crowd was amazing.
Also how much a dollar cost

*AOTD
