Why does it need to be Japanese?

Japanese people understand soul.

There isn't a single good Japanese jazz album.
There are good North American, Latin American, Caribbean, European, Arabic, and African jazz albums, but there isn't a single good Japanese jazz album. They lack soul to play jazz.

They understand soul so much all they can make is derivative copycat nonsense.
