Worst live show/set
Yea Forums?
I saw Sworn In back in Warped Tour 2017 and was incredibly disappointed and surprised by their lackluster performance, there was no energy in the crowd and their new material at the time didn't translate live at all. Needless to say I walked out before they even played their hits and I never walk out on performances especially if I put myself there

probably superorganism
I didn't like them before I saw them and I liked them even less afterwards
Saw Mogwai like 6-8 years ago. Boring as all fuck. Realized I was wasting my time with post-rock and never looked back.
lmao Mogwai are fucking fantastic live
saw them at Primavera, the bass shot through my soul
Kurt Vile
Of course his songs are shit ordinarily, but he really went above and beyond to play them badly.
holy shit. how could anyone like this? youtube.com
honestly that underage gobby chink girl singing lead deserves a good hiding
Joyce manor. Jesus christ is their music awful, i went to see them when wavves opened up and the crowd was horrid, there was a weird mosh thing where it was just people pushing back and forth, it felt like i was stuck in the ocean tied to a tube floating back and forth in the waves. i dont even know if mosh is the right term at all for it. and the music was just, really, terrible. my friend and i walked out 4 songs in
In legitimately having a tough time thinking of any "bad shows" I've seen. I don't think cringe opening acts count. Maybe I've just been lucky but even bands I wasnt exactly excited to see have put on killer shows, Motionless in White comes to mind on that note.
this garbage CUNY student recital
Was supposed to be a clifford brown tribute show. They played these truly horrid arrangements of daahoud, blues walk, and joy spring. sounded like they hadnt rehearsed nearly enough. and the arrangements detracted massively from the performance. On top of this they played with next to no sensitivity, just loud and over-the-top solos with nowhere near the execution required to back it up. dragged on and on, each chorus less inspired than the last
But they were students, and these are all pretty standard features of recitals (especially shaky student arrangements). No, what really made it the worst show I've ever seen is the kid (trumpet player)'s attitude. He'd finish a remarkably forgettable, insipid solo, then fucking grin from ear to ear and take 2 bows while his college buddies and parents screamed from the audience. He would talk, and talk, and talk some more in between songs, about how much he loves clifford brown, how hard he worked on the arrangements, just in general giving himself some big old pats on the back.
It hurts me to hear someone say "i love clifford hes my favorite" and then play daahoud with awful time, way too loud and thin tone, short sputtery phrases. But it was just insulting when he'd act like gods gift to jazz after playing essentially a middle school band's rendition of some of my favorite music ever.
I've been to garbage punk shows, listened to watery "singer-songwriter" takes on boring 2000s chart-toppers, skin-shreddingly loud noise bands in sweaty smelly basements strewn with broken glass and light blue american spirit butts. But you could tell they knew what they were doing; if not for the sake of irony or effect, they at least tended to show some humility in regard to their craft and their weaknesses. I've never experienced such alarmingly pompous and self-indulgent renditions of such beautiful music. I left feeling lost and distraught.
I've heard he sucks live, which is disappointing seeing it confirmed here.
Worst for me was A$AP Rocky. He just pulled girls from the audience and humped them the whole time. I went because he was playing with Danny Brown, who was insane and ran back and forth screaming the while time, which I enjoyed.
MGMT at bamboozle, Weezer btfo them with their own song
I've seen Kurt twice and both were good shows. Experience it for yourself
That fucking honk honk out of nowhere ruined my sides
I was bored shitless, man. To each their own but the show was just dead and fucking lame. Was a terrible night
How was Wavves that night? And I can’t speak for it musically but honestly that kinda sounds fun, as long as you’re decently tall and people there have basic hygiene under control
for god knows what reason the Stone Roses brought Professor Green and Plan B to come and support them when they did their reunion tour
You can imagine the atmosphere they got from a crowd of mostly 25+ NORF lads who came to listen to some dancey guitar groove music and instead got white person grime
I'm old and saw Nirvana on their In Utero tour and they were really not that great live at that point.
Recently saw Wire live and they didn't play anything from their best albums (first three) seemingly as a 'fuck you' to their fans.
This fuck. Years ago on tour with Slayer, he was awful, just an incoherent fat drunk poorly trying to scream lyrics
Slowdive 2017
Flying Lotus in 2014 You're Dead tour. Love FlyLo but the venue oversold the show. It was overcrowded to where you could barely move to the music and it absolutely reeked of weed. Don't really know what I was expecting with the music but it really was just FlyLo pressing play on a laptop and then bobbing his head around on stage. At least the visuals were cool.
Thundercat played as an opener though and he was fucking killer.
pelican when they toured with mono
they were way too loud and somehow you couldnt even hear the bass or discern any guitar riffs. awful live
