i think people like this just haven't heard enough of their music to take them seriously. i've been a fan for a while because they were local when they were starting out, and some of their early shit was great. i still like their new stuff, but it isn't really a good signifier of what they're capable of. they have so many songs covering so many different styles that it would take a true ignoramus to hear a few of their new songs and dismiss them.

Stu is a solid contender for the most hardworking musician of 2017. Five albums in a year, all in a different style, and almost every song is written by one guy. Over half the instrumentation is performed by him as well. Produced, too. In a decade, King Gizzard will be THE band of 2010s.

Mind Fuzz is great, the four track run at the start especially. 12 Bar is underrated

King gizz has like 4 good albums but one demographic we dislike on here also likes them so we automatically think your one of them if you keep talking about them. It's the same reason why people shit on death grips, radiohead, aphex twin, and mf doom on here.

I don't give a shit about garage or psych revival but Oh Sees are actually really good. Pic related was one of the best of 2017. Does what Gizz tries to do without any of the shitty humor.

The excuse is to deepen and diversify the topic pool, and seeing what both Yea Forums and Yea Forums turned into after they dropped the elitism, it's hard to argue against it.
Reddit is like Muslims, they shit on everyone for doing things they themselves do all the time and openly.

Anyway KGATLW is fun but they're NOT in the same level as 70's bands, like at all.

please fuck off and take your mediocre gimmick band with you. the only reason I can grasp for you liking them is giving into the way they've been marketed and from not listening to any decent music. hint - if you don't produce any different music you have to at least succeed in the genre you've chosen and produce some memorable songs, something of substance. name a single track they've done that meets any of this criteria.
