How many albums do you have to have listened to to no longer be a normie?

5000

unironically this tbqh

Honestly? If you've listened to 100 you're probably not a normie. Most people don't like music enough to listen to an entire album anymore.

depends... on the contentOP how stupid are you?

...I'm not stupid? At least I don't think.

>he actually gives an album repeated listens just so he could "rate it better"
>actually wasting his precious time with such a futile endeavor when that could be time better spent finding more music

Real chads attentively listen to an album once, rate it according to their own personal liking, and move on to the next.

1. Trout Mask Replica

this made me lol! everyone say it with me!
>IT'S OVER........

why the fuck would I, I only use RYM for personal archiving, I don't take my own ratings any seriously

this. this is also why rym ratings shouldn't be taken to seriously

music is for normies

...who Cares?

Eww

if your ratings don't look like this you're a pleb

Attached: IMG_5176.jpg (453x370, 35K)

I used to waste so much time making sure to listen 4-5 times before rating. Now I slap a fucking 2 or 2.5 on boring but non-offensive albums and I move on.

Now for me 3.5+ means I'll actually want to listen again.

rym is exclusively for normies
you'll never make it

based. music was only good the year rock lobster came out

>Giving albums you like a .5 so nobody else will listen to it

I never give a 4 after one listen, even if I loved it. But I will immediately relisten and then drop a 4 on that shit.

but then again, you are allowed to give an album a certain rating after first listen, then give it a whole other rating after one or two more listens if you've changed your mind afterwards. It doesn't have to be that serious, lol

And plus, it's not like you're Scaruffi or fucking Christgau, so no one's really paying attention to what ratings you'll give to certain albums (or how you rate them) anyways.

am i based and patricianpilled yet?

Not even the best B-52’s song

unironically 1,000 is the bare minimum

theres no set number. you'll know when pop-adjacent music no longer does it for you anymore

You have to get to the point where you realize rating shit is pointless and only check your profile to see who's joined your group. Happened for me at around 2100 albums

lmao

Always one more.

This, normies listen to top 40 hits and Ariana Grande’s singles, they don’t listen to full albums. I doubt normies have the patience to do it.

Ratings should always be done on the first listen and adjusted accordingly. If you want to be a music reviewer and write blogs about music that nobody wants to read, then listening to it multiple times is obviously required.

This but unironically.

This. Normies have never listened to an album.

for starters, you need to be at least 30. and you have to be able to recite the nu-metal-oath word for word. you also have to cum in a cup, but that's mostly just for (((his))) collection.

>he listens to an album to rate it

No one does this, RYM is mostly used for cataloging what you've listened to

It's more about your capacity to appreciate the music or the emotions and that you can bring an opinion.

>he doesn't rate albums based on their cover art

This. There's albums I first heard in February that I'm still listening to and wondering what I would score it
