Why are metalheads so singularly obsessed with one genre? You rarely see people who are the same way with other types of music, and certainly not as so large a part of the audience/so well accepted among the audience.
Why are metalheads so singularly obsessed with one genre...
that goes fr any genre which has an image associated with it punk emo industrial goth etc
>maybe i didn't get clear with all the other 7 posts that metal is shit
>maybe in this one People Will take my opinion seriously
Just fuck off already
Now roll
metal is for the autistic
The variety of extreme metal and metal-adjacent subgenres is extremely broad these days, more so than the pop and hip-hop/R&B radio repertoire that your average person sticks with
Rolling for Cory Feldman
They're not, you just haven't delved deep into other genres apparently. I can tell you first hand non metal rock fans are the same, punk fans are the same, goths are the same, EDM fucks are the same, hip hop heads are the same. It's just that metalheads have a heavy presence on the internet, because we're a bunch of nerdy fucks.
/thread and based digits too
roww
I'm in need for some shit music, rolling.
This is utterly not true
Metal has an absurd amount of depth and variety which caters to many different tastes. It's easy to be incredibly into one specific subgenre and have relatively little knowledge about others. Something like post-black covers completely different textures than something like noise grind. Metal also has a strong internet presence in its underground, so the people who are very into it can find endless similar and different variations of the same core sounds.
Calling all metal one genre is like calling all electronic music one genre, only more so.
What makes you think metalheads don't listen to other genres? I listen to plenty of non-metal music.
rolling for the asshole album
It's completely true one hundred percent. Led Zeppelin fans and KISS fans will argue all day. Punks will get butt blasted over post punk not being real punk to the people in boots with mohawks and leather jackets. Goths are about a million sub genres on their own all of which have completely unrelated music. EDM is similar. Hip hop has a constant battle of what's "real hip hop" or not and whether or not it even matters, and let's not forget the region wars within it with East Coast, West Coast, South, even more regional areas than that all claiming their sound is superior to others.
You just don't know shit, quite frankly.
your two posts make it so clear how surface level your knowledge of music is outside the one shitty genre you've decided to pigeon hole yourself into
I guarantee I know more about hip hop than you and rock and roll as a whole considering I've spent decades being into them. The other shit I'm talking about, I'll admit it's mostly second hand knowledge from being an outsider looking in actually having experience with people IN those subcultures, but I'd be willing to bet I know more about them than you just because of that.
Pls crazy frog, just please give me crazy frog
Fuck
quad dubs of truth
>You rarely see people who are the same way with other types of music
That's just a lie.
Rolling for Showa.
The girl in that pic is pretty hot
I remember when I was 15 I used to listen to Radiohead exclusively. I listened to at least one album a day.
PEDO ALERT!!!
I was lucky enough to have a band teacher in high school that taught me to like music for what it is. I really do have a taste for most music, and its great.
>inb4 muh eclectic taste
any punk i know tended to have pretty eclectic tastes, but i guess at that point they are called hipsters.

>quad dubs
Rollin'
Emos do not listen to just emo or emo pop punk, they usually also listen to post-hardcore and sad post-grunge of the 2000's.
