In this guy's defence, there are indeed security cameras everywhere in public metropolitan spaces, owned by both private companies and municipal government/police. Also, I imagine most people being filmed in this vid have mobile devices in their pockets which can film a public space at any time, if not have the device filming them themselves.
He isn't doing anything wrong, morally or by law. If the people getting upset over this really had a problem with being filmed in public, they should advocate for laws that ban the use of cameras in public, by both private AND by government , and ban the inclusion of cameras on cellphones.
