Have a song in my head that I can't find and it's driving me nuts

It's a slow, weird 80's song that kind of sounds like The Police or Genesis. But, it was a big song that's still on the radio now. It has kind of like a morose, bittersweet melody. It's really slow and reverby and it has like that "world music" thing about it that was popular at the time. I don't know the lyrics, I only know the melody and still can't find it with any of the search engines made to find it that way. What the fuck is this song? It was a huge hit and I just heard it not too long ago.

It may have been early 90's or late 70's. I can't help but think it's a bigger band because I've heard it so many times, I don't think it's that obscure of a song.
