There's nothing better than drinking a cup of coffee smoking a cig and listening to TOTBL on a rainy day

the bootleg live version (the black sessions) is so much better op. specialist is included on that one

it's unbelievably good. I can't understand why people don't talk about it more often. We carry on is one of my all time favourite songs and has the best guitar tone I've ever heard.

In all honesty, it's my favourite Portishead album.

Albums, like women... There are no true 10/10s.

I'll always find *something* -- some little imperfection that "de-perfectizes" it.

FUCK. ME.

It's just the same albums over and over again. Never anything new. I feel like I've hit a brick wall in music. Things I used to enjoy listening to feel bland now. And every thread here is the same. Never any new music. What the fuck do I do boys

Fuck, idk. I listened a lot to prog, post-punk and shoegaze. All of which I just can't force myself to listen to anymore. I had a big hard-on for neo-psych and garage rock, Wand and Ty Segall being the biggest in each respective.
I'm just tired of everything rock. It's all so bland now.
I fucking despise both rap and country
>inb4 meme
In classical I really liked stuff from the romantic era. 12 tone shit and stuff bored me out, same with classisism and everything before. I really like Liszt and Grieg, but even listening to those now, I just lose interest and wish I put on something else.
Jazz is hard for me to listen to. If I listen to it casually, it's a snoozefest. If I actively listen 100% I'm able to enjoy music again, especially listening to Mingus and Bill Evans, but it's so tiring.

It's a lost cause. I can't stand music anymore, but it's still my favourite thing in the world

And fuck off before you recc me fucking Deathconsciousness

How?

You are living under a fucking rock if you think rock, hip hop, jazz, country and classical are the only type of music that exists. Do some research

Alright from this post onwards no one posts Yea Forumscore. What’s the point posting albums everyone on earth agrees is good, let’s see something interesting.

Get a load of this retard lmao

I'm sorry, I really don't like folk music. I grew up forced to play and listen to folk music, and the closest thing I like to folk music is Jan Garbarek's "mountain jazz". It's really hard for me to not despise folk

lol, who told you to pretend to like this? And how desperate to be cool were you to listen?

>Yea Forumscore.
>everyone on earth agrees is good

ROFLMAO

Forgot to mention Grieg too, but that's much the same as Jan Garbarek. Not folk, but draws heavy inspiration from. Frode Fjellheim is one step too far into folk territory.
Good luck with that

you're be completely right in saying so; i was going to post Soundtracks but i feel like that's generally agreed upon to be their best work (or at least one of their best)

you niggas still posting the same albums since i left in 2013

Alright, let me rephrase that, albums that everyone has seen before in threads like these. You and I might hate a Yea Forumscore album but we both know a lot of people here do. It’d be nice to see attention directed to lesser known stuff for once...

baste

You like electronic music at all? I had a similar crisis where I got really bored of everything rock and turned to hip hop for a while. Then got bored of that too and now I'm on a all things electronic phase. Plenty of variety to discover and formats to listen to (mixes, singles, compilations, etc.)

>Never any new music.
There's never a shortage of new music. Use the internet to your advantage. Any streaming service will do. Or use youtube or go on bandcamp. There are so many little known bands that are really good. I have the opposite problem now because I know I'll never be able to hear everything that I could potentially love.

Actually a 9.5/10 because towards the end it drags a bit, but I didn't want to post Kid A, WYWH or other stuff that everyone knows.

have you listened to it with the hidden track ending of Sleepwritten?
to me that suits it way better than How To Build A Time Machine

FEEL THE WRATH OF THE SUPER RAD

Attached: The_Aquabats_-_The_Fury_of_The_Aquabats!_cover.jpg (299x300, 30K)

I've listened to a fair share, but I haven't had a very deep dive into electronics. I grew up on (amongst others) trip hop because of my brother. I also had a short while more recently where I was deep into ambient, but that was probably because it was right after I had listened a ton to both drone and stoner/doom.
Imo a lot of electronics is just classical music but less inspired. Sure, the instrumentation is like night and day, but everything else is pretty similar. (instrumental, that is)
I know it sounds really ignorant and entry level, but Brian Eno and his peers were pretty much the only ones I found myself returning to.
>There's never a shortage of new music
Well, that's true, and will always be true. I think I just phrased it wrong. I know it wasn't that obvious, but when I said new, I really meant new to me. Music I haven't listened to yet.
Thing is, what you describe is where I've been recently. Digging through the trash. Yes, there's a lot of obscure and little known bands/artists that we'll never hear of, but 98% of the music I find is bland, uninspired and recycled garbage. Once a week I've found music I find interesting, and I listen to it for the rest of the day, then I grow bored of it. It feels like such a drag, piling through all of the crap

i love this album, def a 10 for me.
agree that the first half is better than the second half tho, but that doesn't make it a 9.5 imo.

Attached: cover.jpg (1400x1400, 1.13M)

Attached: R-2639948-1474310453-8731.jpeg.jpg (599x585, 109K)

Yup, and I agree it's a better way to end the album.
My issue is that the second Mouvement and HTBATM don't really add anything to the equation, and I tend to get a bit bored at that point. If those ten minutes were cut, keeping Sleepwritten as a closer, it would be an 11/10.

Damn this album is some good shit

Honestly, this.
Love very single track of Zaba. Can't listen to one song without playing the entire album. I love the vibe it gives off too.
All in all, 10/10

Unironically one of the best metal albums, but their debut was better IMO.

Still the most cringeworthy album of all time.

Their only genuinely great album since Amnesiac.

This album has aged really well.

If it wasn't for Sweet Sweet being a thing, and Silverfuck not being the closing song, it'd be an instant 10/10.
